I would like to take this opportunity to thank the President & Committee of the Pembroke Welsh Corgi Club of The Garden State for inviting me to judge the Regular Classes at their 6th Annual Specialty & Sweepstakes (5th Independent Specialty & Sweepstakes & Obedience Trial). I would like to make special mention of the people that took such good care of my husband and myself. Our hosts, Lynne & Harold Small, and Helen Maddock – what a historian – thank you for a most hospitable time. Our sincere thanks go to the Chairperson, Karen Gunzel, for catering to all our needs, and congratulations on a great show in a great location! Not forgetting all those workers behind the scene that deserved credit, too! My two stewards, Karen & Sue, thank you girls for keeping the ball rolling – and didn’t they have fun during the banquet! Also, thanks to Phyllis Farrer for working in with Trenton Kennel Club where I had seven breeds to judge. Thank you for a most memorable evening and thoughtful gift – a silver key ring with a delightful little corgi on one side and our kennel name on the other. Such a perfect gift to cherish along with lots of fond memories.

It was indeed a great pleasure to judge your show and to see both exhibitors and spectators come together at this Specialty to endorse breed type along with the virtues and qualities required in our Breed Standard. I really appreciated the way in which the exhibitors accepted my decisions so gracefully and in a sportsperson like manner. The dogs and bitches were well presented, although one or two were not quite as clean as they should have been. Generally, the depth of quality in the bitches was a cut above that of the dogs. Heads were a little mixed although generally the back skulls, ear carriage, & eye colour/shape were good. Feet overall were very good. Movement varied in both sexes and I felt that the hindquarter movement was superior to the fronts. As I mentioned at the banquet, two areas need attention: the first being the shortness of the lay back of shoulders; and second, untypical heads with incorrect stops, very narrow forefaces and lack of underjaw. There was a lot of variation in size and in the some dog classes I had a difficult time finding attributes. My Best of Breed class was full of quality and so many goods ones had to go without a placement.

— Mrs. Valerie Joan Hutton

PUPPY 6-9 MONTHS, DOGS (8 exhibited)

1. ARBOR FESTINIOG VOYAGER (Ch. Arbor Festiniog Sea Epic x Ch. Arbor-Amberdale Angelic) Breeders: Dawn Wollard & Kathleen Broska. Owners: Kathleen A. Broska & Margaret Thomas. Quality tri color puppy dog with a balanced outline. Good head piece with correct proportions. Correct tight feet coupled with ample bone. Shown in sparkling condition.
2. SANDFOX DUST IN THE WIND (Ch. Belroyd Dotteral x Ch. Perivale Whispering Wind) Breeders/Owners: Vicki Sandage & Feli Noeller. R/W puppy dog of a heavier type with a stronger rear assembly than his front. Pleasing in head with good eye shape & colour. I would prefer a little more width to muzzle. Good depth through body & rib cage coupled with strong hindquarters. Showed well.
3. LLANDIANS LOVE FOR SALE (Ch. Tallyrand No Greater Love x Ch. Ivywood-Llandians Sweet Pea) Breeder/Owner: Dianne Connolly. This young 6 mths R/W boy stood and showed so well. Good back skull & ear placement. A little long in foreface. Good hind quarter assembly. I would have preferred a more oval foot.
4. CINONNIE REGAL SPLENDOUR (Ninacorte Star Caster At Woodhenge x Cinonnie Sweet Charity) Breeder: Lillian Beazley. Owners: Kathryn O’Bryant & Jeanne N. Sanders. A 7 mths old R/W puppy dog with a nice outline. Little longer in body for his height at this stage but time is on his side. His eyes were a little wide set on what was otherwise a correct proportion head piece. Well presented and in good coat.

PUPPY 9-12 MONTHS, DOGS (4 exhibited)

1. CURIG FAERIETALE UNTOUCHABLE (Ch. Cinonnie Rigel x Curig Periwinkle) Breeders/Owners: Barbara DuPree & Susan Neave. A mature & steady 11 mths old R/W dog with a clean & pleasing outline and good head proportions. Strong hind-quarters. Held his topline on the move. Correct oval feet. Eye colour could have been a shade darker. Showed well.
2. BRONWYN UPTOWN TELEGRAEME (Ch. Hum’nbird Valedictorian x Bronwyn Uptown To Byendebrok) Breeders: Alice Nelson & Willys Treanor. Owners: Alice A. & Lewis M. Nelson. This strongly built R/W young dog had ample bone with correct oval feet. Little shorter in body proportions. Not so strong in the hind and a little tight at elbow. Head proportions quite pleasing.
3. HERONSWAY SKYVIEW NIGHTLINE (Ch. XIII Maples Stellar Idea, CD x Ch. Heronsway Skyview Sapphire) Breeders: Anne H. Bowes & Normajean Dee. Owners: Deborah M. Spellman & Anne H. Bowes. Taller & squarer type with balanced angulations back & front, but the degree of angulations could have been better as this was evident in his choppy movement. Showed well. Beautifully presented and in top condition.
4. CARTERHALL KOMODO DRAGON (Ch. Hum’nbird Valedictorian x Ninacorte April Love) Breeders/Owners: Joseph & Dora Carter. This 10 ½ mths old young R/W dog had the best head in this class. His front let him down on the move and did not balance with his strong hind quarters. Presented & handled well.

12-18 MONTHS, DOGS (8 exhibited)

1. AUBREY’S BACK N MY ARMS AGAIN (Ch. Aubrey Brookehaven Outlandsh x Ch. Pinemeade Watercolors) Breeders: C. & V. Savioli. Owners: Cynthia & Vincent Savioli & Carla Hellander. This R/W young dog stood out in this class with his correct height to length ratio. Good size and clean outline. Good head proportions with kind expression. A tad long in muzzle. Good feet and bone. Showed himself off very well. Needs to mature and I was quite happy to reward him RESERVE WINNERS DOG.
2. TRESAITHS RIVERBOAT GAMBLER (Woodhedge Dream Maker x Tresaith Lamin Scandalous, NA) Breeders: Janet & Wm. Richardson. Owners: Christin Borowka & Pamela Norton. A more open coated tri colour dog of similar type to the winner. A correct head piece, spoilt by a smallish ear. Moved and showed with purpose and deserved his place in this class.
3. LLANDIANS HEAVEN KNOWS (Ch. XIII Maples Stellar Idea, CD x Llandian’s Simply Elegant) Breeder/Owner: Dianne Connolly. Prettily marked tri colour dog presented in good condition. Good head proportions perhaps a little feminine. Good length of neck & level topline. He was a little busy in movement.
4. HIS GRACE BEAR IN MIND (Cinonnie Regulus x Salvenik Sweet Memories) Breeder: Nancy Pearl. Owner: Susan Strickland. Mature young R/W dog that was longer in body and not quite as balanced. Good head proportions and feet. Little choppy in movement.

BRED-BY-EXHIBITOR, DOGS (4 exhibited)

1. TAMS DUSKIE BUSKER (Ch. Belroyd Dotterel x Tams Prime Star) Breeder/Owner: Kay Hammel. A striking sable and white dog. Nicely balanced fore & aft. Correct head proportions with good ear shape & set. Correct oval shape feet. Held his topline on the move. Hind drive could be stronger. He is not a showman and his handler had to work hard.
2. FOXTALE’S RED RED ROBIN (Ch. Belroyds Dotterel x Foxtale’s Tanqueray) Breeder/Owner: Virginia C. Fitzgerald. R/W dog of a heavier type to one. Prefer a slightly darker eye but he had correct head proportions. Oval rib-cage and well-ribbed back. A little flat on his feet. Showed and moved well for his handler.
3. WINDCREST GRANT A WISH (Ch. XIII Maples Stellar Idea x Ch. Windcrest Classic Image) Breeder/Owner: Mary-Elizabeth Simpson. R/W dog in good condition. Good skull width but a lack chiseling on the foreface. Showed well. Could do with a little more depth through the second thigh, which associates with a slight longer hock.
4. BROGAN BELL BOTTOMS (Ch. Pemintenn Daydream Believer x Brogan Belle of The Ball) Breeder/Owner: Mari Fleming Carroll. This R/W dog showed well. Nice tight oval shaped feet. Angulations matched but a slightly upright fore & after displaying a bouncier movement. Quite a nice head piece and he was presented in good condition.

OPEN DOGS (10 exhibited)

1. WAKEFIELD TRICK OR TREAT (Ch. Ryslip The Griffin Wakefield x Ch. Cannaby’s Wakefield Tosca) Breeder: Peggy Kessler. Owners: Jodi Garcia & Peggy Kessler. A quality and well marked tri colour male with good height to length ratio and not over done in any area. Not too big or too heavy. His slightly large size ears spoilt an otherwise correct head expression. Good front, and moved correctly coming and going. I was pleased to award him WINNERS DOG.
2. AUBREY OAKWIND ARMFUL OF FUN (Ch. Elfwish Leprechaun x Aubrey’s Victorian Lace) Breeders: Carra Cole & C. & V. Savioli. Owners: Cynthia & Vincent Savioli. Well up to size R/W dog with a clean outline and well balanced. Good head piece although a little round in eye. Lost this class on size and a little too heavy in front. Showed and moved well and did everything that was asked of him.
3. POWERMILL PURE TRIBUTE FOR SALVENIK (Salvenik Sweet Tribute x Powdermill Gold Charm) Breeders: A. L. & R. Weston. Owner: Peggy Kessler. This R/W dog was of a similar type to 2 but not quite as heavy or mature. Pleasing head & eye. Correct feet and balanced fore & aft. Hindquarter action could have been more positive. A little unsettled today.
4. CINONNIE REGULUS (Ninacorte Star Caster x Cinonnie Sweet Charity) Breeder: Mrs. Lillian Beazley. Owners: Nancy Pearl & Susan Strickland & Shirley Hobbs. Honest tri colour dog with a nice headpiece. Although he was nicely balanced, fore & aft angulations could have been better. Would have preferred a stronger topline. Showed well for a place in this class.

I found so much more quality and breed type throughout the bitch classes and in some classes there were bitches that went unplaced due to various reasons, but I am sure these lovely ladies will have their day in the not too distant future.

PUPPY 6 -9 MONTHS, BITCHES (13 exhibited)

1. FAERIETALE CURIG BUTTERCUP (Ch. Cinonnie Rigel x Faerietale Amazing Grace) Breeders: Susan Neave & Barbara duPree. Owners: Nancy Oehlhof & Pam Hudson. This attractive young R/W lady had the desired outline and matching head piece. Good shoulder & front angulations, well ribbed back with a good turn of stifle and short hocks. Moved well from all angles aided with neat, correct shaped feet. It was my pleasure to award her 1st in this class and BEST PUPPY.
2. JADE TREE PENWAY JAMAICA (Ch. Colburns Oh For Heaven Sake x Jade Tree Penway French Toast) Breeders/Owners: Janice E. Edwards & Joan Gibson Reid. A very smart R/W girl that scored on head quality and dark eyes. Nice size and balanced overall. Not quite as mature in the body as one. Moved well and did everything right.
3. ARBOR FESTINIOG TELES (Ch. Arbor-Festiniog Sea Epic x Ch. Arbor-Amberdale Angelic) Breeders: Dawn Wollard & Kathleen Broska. Owners: Kathleen A. Broska & Margaret Thomas. Another appealing tri girl with good head type. Great hindquarter angulation. I would have liked to have seen a little more upper arm to complete the picture. Showed well and deserved a placed in this lovely class of young quality ladies.
4. FAERIETALE CURIG BEWITCHED (Ch. Cinonnie Rigel x Faerietale Amazing Grace) Breeders/Owners: Barbara DuPree & Susan Neave. Sturdily build R/W young lady with correct feet. A shade fine in muzzle on an otherwise correct head piece. Moved well. Not quite settled in topline today. In good condition and well presented.

PUPPY 9-12 MONTHS, BITCHES (10 exhibited)

1. CARTERHALL KALEIDOSCOPE (Ch. Hum’nbird Valedictorian x Ninacorte April Love) Breeders/Owners: Joseph & Dora Carter. Quality tri colour bitch in sparkling condition with a balanced outline. Fairly long neck fitting nicely into well laid back of shoulder. A little loose in front but I am sure this will tighten. Good head proportions. Tight feet and covered the ground adequately.
2. TENBY SONG OF SIXPENCE (Ch. Cinonnie Rigel x Ch. Triad Effervescent) Breeder/Owner: Sandi Harsh. A well presented tri colour girl with a nice outline. A little more space underneath this girl. Proportionate head piece with a dark eye, but would like a little more strength in the under jaw. Moved and showed well.
3. CORGARD MAKE YOUR MARK (Ch. Hum’nbird Keepn Up’pearances x Ch. Foxway Corgard Image Maker) Breeders/Owners: Michele L. Pohl & Kandy Boll. R/W bitch with a nice outline and lower to ground. Good head proportion but would prefer a little more under jaw. Tight correct feet. This young lady excelled in correct hindquarter angulations. With so much drive from behind she would lift her front feet more than necessary on the move.
4. FOXTALE’S TOURMALINE (Cinonnie Regulus x Foxtale Reaching For A Star) Breeder/Owner: Virginia C. Fitzgerald. Tri colour bitch with a correct head piece. Good depth of brisket. Angulations both back and front were a little steep but matching which enable her to cover the ground sufficiently. I would have liked to have seen a little more depth through the 2nd thigh.

12-18 MONTHS, BITCHES (12 exhibited)

1. FOXWAY JORASH MINNIE MINOSO (Ch. Foxlor Schfrhaus Sammy Sosa x Ch. Foxway Joroash Brogan Chaos) Breeders/Owners: Ellen Schusterson & Sandra Mottes. Tri colour girl with plenty of good bone and substance. Well let down in front and firm topline. Slighter shorter in body but balanced. Covered the ground very well and looked good in profile. Feet could have been better.
2. AUBREY’S BUY ME A ROSE (Ch. Aubrey Brookehaven Outlandsh x Ch. Pinemeade Watercolors) Breeders: Cynthia & Vincent Savioli. Owners: Richard Burd & Cynthia & Vincent Savioli. I liked this R/W bitch very much but she was a little too heavy for me. A quality girl and very sound coming and going. A little plain in head but still had the correct proportions. Well presented and did everything that was asked of her.
3. READFIELD MOON O’ER XIII MAPLES (Ch. XIII Maples Stellar Idea, CD x Culdi Heart Is A Lonely Hunter) Breeder: M. Read. Owners: Ellen C. Childs & Marianne Read. R/W bitch with pleasing outline. Head proportions are good, perhaps a shade more chiseling under the eyes needed. Moved well over the ground. She has the frame and outline to mature into herself.
4. MILESTONE AUGUSTA NATIONAL (Ch. Pinemeade Primetime Party x Ch. Heronsway Velvet Moon) Breeders: Donna Gilbert & Anne Bowes. Owner: Donna M. Gilbert. Darker R/W bitch of nice qualities. Good length to height ratio and used herself well. Good feet and substance. I would have liked better head proportions on this bitch but her virtues outweigh these.

BRED-BY-EXHIBITOR, BITCHES (9 exhibited)

1. BROGAN BELLS CHIME (Ch. Pemintenn Daydream Believer x Brogan Belle of The Ball, HC) Breeder/Owner: Mari Fleming Carroll. Honest R/W bitch with a very good outline. Correct head proportions with lovely dark eye. Nice deep brisket and correct bone and feet. Balanced angulations back and front and she covered the ground well.
2. KESTREL DELIGHTFUL DREAM (Ch Salvenik Sweet Thoughts x Ch Leftbank Kestrel Lucid Dream) Breeder/Owner: Ann Caterson. Strong R/W bitch with balanced proportions although angulations could have been better. Good back skull and ear placement. Needed a tad more strength in foreface and underjaw. In good coat and showed well.
3. ELFWISH GINGER SNAP (Ch. Tallyrand Archangel Michael x Ch. Elfwish Gingerbread Lady) Breeders/Owners: Donna J. Francis & Sandra Wolfskill. This young R/W bitch has a very good frame but just needs time to grow into it. Well up to size with good length of neck. Nice head proportions. Eye colour could be a shade darker. A little apprehensive on the day but deserved a place in this class.
4. NEBRIOWA PATIENCE (Ch. Larchmont’s Dream Dust x Ch. Nebriowa Tinseltown) Breeder/Owner: Thomas Mathiesen. Another good size R/W bitch with clean head and outline. Correct balance of front & hindquarter angulations. She would have been placed higher had she not been quite so unsettled.

AMERICAN-BRED, BITCHES (1 exhibited)

1. MYSTICAL FENWICK’S FIREFLIES (Ch Mystical That’ll Do, CD x Pot O’Gold’s Angel in Disguise, HT) Breeder/Owner: Deborah L. Beal. One only in this class and a pretty one at that. This lovely black-headed tri colour was of good quality. I would have like to have seen a touch more tan. Nice head piece with lovely dark eye. Well balanced and covered the ground with ease.

OPEN BITCHES (17 exhibited)

1. WAKEFIELD GLINDA OF OZ (Ch. Ryslip The Griffin Wakefield x Ch. Cannabys Wakefield Tosca) Breeder: Peggy Kessler. Owners: Peggy Kessler & Pam Dent. This appealing light sable feminine young lady had a very tidy outline. Good size and substance with a very correct coat texture. Correct head piece with kind expression. Good shoulders with fore legs moulding neatly around the nice deep chest. Correct body length and hind quarters. which allowed her to cover the ground with ease. Could have preferred tighter feet. A very honest bitch and I was pleased to reward her WINNERS BITCH & BEST OF WINNERS.
2. AURORA OH SO TEMPTING (Ninacorte Ironheart x Ch. Aurora Temptation) Breeders/Owners: Marilyn Van Vleit & Donna Newton. Another quality R/W bitch with outstanding virtues. Her head proportions were very correct from back skull, level planes, dark oval eyes. Her front assembly was set well back equaling her hind quarters. Neat feet and ample bone. I felt she was a fraction long in body to height and there was a slight wave in her coat. Showed and handled to perfection and deserved the RESERVE WINNERS BITCH.
3. GREENFOREST’S SWEET GHERKIN (Ch. Hum’nbird Valedictorian x Greenforest’s Gideon) Breeder/Owner: August Ludwig. Black-headed tri bitch of good quality. Show well with good head proportions. Eye colour could have been a shade darker. She was in full coat and looked a picture. Excellent hindquarter and moved with drive. Feet were a little flat.
4. ELFWISH A LITTLE JAZZ (Ch. Hallmarks Olympian x Ch. Elfwish Jasmine, CD) Breeders: Donna Francis & Sandra Wolfskill. Owners: Kathy Daniel & Mary Ann Parker. Pretty R/W bitch with good angulations front and back. Good bone and substance. Feet not as tight as I like, but she moved well and deserved her place in this group of outstanding bitches.

VETERAN CLASS, DOGS (2 exhibited)

1. CH. VENNWOODS SPECIAL EDITION (Blands Limited Edition of Belroyd x Teskurie Black Satin of Vennwoods) Breeder: Miss S.I.M. Rich?Lenthall. Owner: Lois E. Kay. 12 year old pale red & white in good condition. Heavy boned male with a lovely head. He did enjoy his day out.

VETERAN CLASS, BITCHES (2 exhibited)

1. CH. WALBORAH’S ABELIA BROGAN, HC (Saddle Lane Touch of Basil x Ch. Walborah’s Hobby) Breeder: Deborah Harper. Owners: Mari Fleming Carroll & Brooke Fleming. What more can be said about this wonderful lady? Now 12 yrs old and still can move like a dream. So well put together and accentuates breed type. Shown in beautiful condition and to perfection. Thank you for giving me the pleasure of going over her and I was only too happy to award her a Selection of Merit.
2. CH. ZUKI’S ALL ABOUT BRIDGET, HC (Ch. Blaizewood Hooray Henry, CDX x Ariel’s Portia) Breeder/Owner: Marilyn Zukowski. Another outstanding R/W bitch in beautiful condition. A little younger than my winner but still a good specimen of the breed. Very pretty head piece and correct front assembly. Good angulations behind but she did tend to stand a little under herself. It was a privilege to judge these grand ladies.

BEST OF BREED (11 exhibited)

This was my first opportunity to judge a BOB Class at a Specialty and what a wonderful class. To see this collection of outstanding champions in the one room was rather awesome and very rewarding. Thank you for showing your specials to me and as we all know there can only be one winner.

CH. WOODBINE ALEXANDRA (Ch. Nebriowa Double Exposure x Ch. Kingscote Woodbine Alibi. Bitch) Breeder/Owner: Elizabeth Sessions. This stunning light red & white lady caught my eye as she entered the ring and she did not disappoint me in any way. Her head is the epitome of the breed standard with the added ingredient called, “Perfection”. With angulations, substance and correct oval feet to match, it was so rewarding to watch her move fluently around the ring. It gave me great pleasure to award the wonderful bitch BEST OF BREED. My congratulations to her breeder and owner.

BEST OF OPPOSITE SEX TO BEST OF BREED

CH. SANDFOX FLYING FINISH, CDX, MS, MX, AXJ (Ch. Nebriowa Front & Center x Ch. Sandfox Fly So Free) Breeder/Owner: Vicki Sandage. My final selection of the males were all good representatives of the breed and this 6 yrs light sable was the worthy winner. A quality dog with a great outline. Correct front assembly and hind quarter angulations coupled with a level topline allowed this dog to move with purpose. Another good example of the breed and easily my BEST OF OPPOSITE SEX.

PUPPY 6-9 MONTHS, DOGS (7 exhibited)

1. ARBOR FESTINIOG VOYAGER (Ch. Arbor Festiniog Sea Epic x Ch. Arbor-Amberdale Angelic) Breeders: Dawn Wollard & Kathleen Broska. Owners: Kathleen A. Broska & Margaret Thomas. RH tricolor with good outline, masculinity and bone. Big ears, lovely coat, good pigmentation and nice sidegait. Topline needs to settle, but I feel is age related. A very nice puppy.
2. CINONNIE REGAL SPLENDOUR (Ninacorte Star Caster At Woodhenge x Cinonnie Sweet Charity) Breeder: Lillian Beazley. Owners: Kathryn O’Bryant & Jeanne N. Sanders. A red & white male that has a nice balanced outline, lovely feet and moving well. Excessive brow and width between eyes is distracting.
3. SANDFOX DUST IN THE WIND (Ch. Belroyd Dotteral x Ch. Perivale Whispering Wind) Breeders/Owners: Vicki Sandage & Feli Noeller. Light red & white with lovely bone, outline and coat. Attractive head. Would prefer less round foot and the two above had stronger side gait today.
4. XIII MAPLES ORION (Ch. XIII Maples Stellar Idea x Warrenhouse Valentina) Breeder: Ellen Childs. Owners: Ellen C. Childs & Joanne Scott. Lightly sabled red & white that is rangy at the moment and not in his best coat, but the promise is there with time. Nice length of neck and body with a lovely face and moving well.

PUPPY 9-12 MONTHS, DOGS (5 exhibited)

1. BRONWYN UPTOWN TELEGRAEME (Ch. Hum’nbird Valedictorian x Bronwyn Uptown To Byendebrok) Breeders: Alice Nelson & Willys Treanor. Owners: Alice A. & Lewis M. Nelson. A lovely young male in all regards. He is masculine, yet elegant, with good length of neck and body, correct bone right down into oval feet, attractive head with nice pigment, and coat is in lovely gleaming condition. Topline never wavered and today he is totally clean and correct coming and going and has a free, easy beautiful side gait. BEST IN SWEEPSTAKES
2. CURIG FAERIETALE UNTOUCHABLE (Ch. Cinonnie Rigel x Curig Periwinkle) Breeders/Owners: Barbara DuPree & Susan Neave. A light fawn dog also with good outline, nice bone, masculinity and lovely coat that has a commendable side gait. Nice short hocks. Unlucky to meet #1 today, but is a lovely dog.
3. CARTERHALL KOMODO DRAGON (Ch. Hum’nbird Valedictorian x Ninacorte April Love) Breeders/Owners: Joseph & Dora Carter. Good outline, coat, head and feet. Dead level topline. Preferred front movement of those above.
4. SUNLINE HACKLE SPINNER (Sunline August Dun x Sunline Red Ant) Breeders/Owners: Ann & Warren Phillips. A dog with good substance and outline, with dark eye. Moving too close in front today and I prefer tighter feet and less pronounced brow.

12-18 MONTHS, DOGS (9 exhibited)

1. SANDYSHIRE WINDAWAY (Ch. Sandyshire’s The Phantom x Bransuzi Sandyshire Seaspray) Breeder: Patricia L. Sandy-Smith. Owners: Adrienne K. Saffell & Pat Sandy-Smith. An overall really nice puppy. Correct, balanced outline, nice neck and topline, correct feet and dark eyes in a pleasing head. He moves clean, free and smooth all three ways. Not in his best coat and appeared immature in this company today, but nothing to hide. Very promising and I think time is all he needs.
2. POWERMILL PURE TRIBUTE FOR SALVENIK (Salvenik Sweet Tribute x Powdermill Gold Charm) Breeders: A. L. & R. Weston. Owner: Peggy Kessler. A lovely masculine light red & white in full coat. Good length and topline with pretty head, good bone and correct feet. Wants to toe out.
3. AUBREY’S BACK N MY ARMS AGAIN (Ch. Aubrey Brookehaven Outlandsh x Ch. Pinemeade Watercolors) Breeders: C. & V. Savioli. Owners: Cynthia & Vincent Savioli & Carla Hellander. A lovely body on this rich deep red & white. Nice length, dead level topline, good angulation and using himself well on the move. In lovely coat and condition. Head is narrow throughout and long in foreface at this time.
4. LLANDIANS HEAVEN KNOWS (Ch. XIII Maples Stellar Idea, CD x Llandian’s Simply Elegant) Breeder/Owner: Dianne Connolly. Exquisite headed RH tricolor. Nice size and good length. Not the flow of neck or reach in front of the above dogs.

PUPPY 6-9 MONTHS, BITCHES (12 exhibited)

1. ARBOR FESTINIOG TELES (Ch. Arbor-Festiniog Sea Epic x Ch. Arbor-Amberdale Angelic) Breeders: Dawn Wollard & Kathleen Broska. Owners: Kathleen A. Broska & Margaret Thomas. RH tricolor with pretty head, dark pigment and lovely outline. She is elegant, plushy, and on the day showed every asset off with enthusiasm! Lovely reachy sidegait, short hocks and correct bone. An overall quality girl.
2. FAERIETALE CURIG BUTTERCUP (Ch. Cinonnie Rigel x Faerietale Amazing Grace) Breeders: Susan Neave & Barbara duPree. Owners: Nancy Oehlhof & Pam Hudson. Red & White…tough decision against #1. Melting head type and correct outline. Also with good bone, plushy coat, short hocks, rich pigment and elegance to burn. Lazy on the move and appeared to be sulking, but I loved her!
3. PINEMEADE TOO SPICEY (Ch. Summithill Gingerbread Man x Ch. Pinemeade Thyme At Marnac) Breeder/Owner: Terry A. Hansen. Different type & style than the above. Nice length of neck and body and was one of the best side gaiting exhibits in my entire entry. Beautiful coat and dark eye. Narrow front movement and I hope she’s just about finished growing. Wish ear tips were rounder in an otherwise very pretty head.
4. FOXLLYN’S CHERISHED MEMORIES (Ch. Llandians Super Sweet x Ch. Foxllyn’s Cherished Jimanie) Breeders/Owners: Patrick & Linda Galphin. Sable girl with good outline, attractive head and nice sidegait. Not the presence of the above, but a useful bitch.

PUPPY 9-12 MONTHS, BITCHES (11 exhibited)

1. TENBY SONG OF SIXPENCE (Ch. Cinonnie Rigel x Ch. Triad Effervescent) Breeder/Owner: Sandi Harsh. A nice overall picture. Good outline, feet and movement. Eyes are dark. Would prefer less width between eyes in an otherwise pleasing head.
2. JUST ENUFF ARBOR FROLIC (Ch. Tallyrand Archangel Michael x Ch. Arbor Just Enuff Chit Chat, CD, PT, AX) Breeders/Owners: Kathleen A. Broska & Susan Klar. Red & White with good outline and good movement. Solid topline and dark eyes. Toes out slightly and I would prefer more stop.
3. CARTERHALL KALEIDOSCOPE (Ch. Hum’nbird Valedictorian x Ninacorte April Love) Breeders/Owners: Joseph & Dora Carter. This bitch has elegance and style. Stunning head type, correct balanced outline, nice bone and plushy coat. If this bitch was good in front she would be very hard to beat. Will hope she tightens and straightens with maturity as I thought she was spectacular in all other ways.
4. FOXTALE’S TOURMALINE (Cinonnie Regulus x Foxtale Reaching For A Star) Breeder/Owner: Virginia C. Fitzgerald. Pretty outline and head on this nice moving RH tricolor. A bit more neck would finish the picture.

12-18 MONTHS, BITCHES (12 exhibited)

1. FOXWAY JORASH MINNIE MINOSO (Ch. Foxlor Schfrhaus Sammy Sosa x Ch. Foxway Joroash Brogan Chaos) Breeders/Owners: Ellen Schusterson & Sandra Mottes. A very good bitch overall. Foxy head, correct bone, tidy feet and rich pigmentation with dark eyes. Good length, neck and outline. Clean movement coming and going, with a free, easy, beautiful side gait. In full coat and showing well. BEST OPPOSITE IN SWEEPSTAKES
2. MILESTONE AUGUSTA NATIONAL (Ch. Pinemeade Primetime Party x Ch. Heronsway Velvet Moon) Breeders: Donna Gilbert & Anne Bowes. Owner: Donna M. Gilbert. A lovely headed Red & White with a dark eye. Good length of neck and body and moving well.
3. TRESAITHS DREAM ON THE RIVER TEIFI (Woodhenge Dream Maker x Tresaith Lamin Scandalous) Breeders/Owners: Janet & Bill Richardson. RH Tricolor of different style than those above. Plushy, pretty head. Good topline and using herself well. Preferred length of neck on the above.
4. ELFWISH GINGER SNAP (Ch. Tallyrand Archangel Michael x Ch. Elfwish Gingerbread Lady) Breeders/Owners: Donna J. Francis & Sandra Wolfskill. Good neck, body length outline and substance on this free moving red & white. Larger bitch than I prefer.
