2013 REGULAR CLASSES

tammi johnston
(riverun)

Thank you to all the members of the Garden State PWCC. Your hospitality was exceptional! I LOVE my judges gift, a beautiful Glass Wind chime made by Liisa Coit. A special thank you to my stewards on the day and also to Carol Wyatt for taking such good care of my every need including my sunburn! I enjoyed our time together!! The day was beautiful as was the entry. Quality ran deep in several classes, especially the BBE bitch class, WOW it was exceptional!!

I look for a dog with moderation as our standard speaks of often, plus balance and symmetry. I felt my winners exemplified this on the day. Please remember we must breed true to our standard, and moderation is a key to that. A huge thank you to all the breeders/exhibitors for allowing me to examine your corgis and excepting my opinion on the day.

PUPPY 6 MONTHS AND UNDER 9 MONTHS, DOGS (1 exhibited)

1. SADDLE LANE BRUMBAER’S JAMES BOND (Ch. Greenwoods Fame & Fortune x Ch. Honeyfox Saddle Lane Hayden) Breeders/Owners: Andrew Carter & Sue King. A big red and white boy. Pleasing outline. Proper head proportions, but would wish for a bit more refinement at this time. Nice length of neck that flowed into a balanced body with good ribbing He was clean coming and going. Great bone and coat. Overall pleasing boy, happy to reward him RESERVE WINNERS DOGon the day.

9 MONTHS AND UNDER 12 MONTHS, DOGS (1 exhibited)

1. JORAH CORGARD HEART OF DARKNESS (GCh. Pembury House Be Still My Heart  x GCh. Kaybe Corgard Forever Lovely at Jorash) Breeders/ Owners: Ellen Schusterson, Kandy Boll & Michele Pohl. Tri dog with lots of flash. Presents a nice balanced outline. Head is pleasing to the eye with proper proportions. Clean coming and going and moved with ease around the ring. Moderate in his makeup. One would wish for a thicker set of pads under foot.

12 TO 18 MONTHS, DOGS (3 exhibited)

1. KESTREL LEFTBANK VICTORY (GCh. Creekside Hard Workin Man x Ch. Kestrel Leftbank Rejoice) Breeders/Owners: Ann Caterson & Lynne Bloor Wolfe. Plainer marked red and white boy.  Moderate in his makeup. Pleasing head with proper proportions, to be picky I would give him a slightly larger eye. Good arch of neck that blends into a nice front assembly, with a rear that matches and shows in his ease of movement. Good topline and length of rib. Proper bone for his size. A nicely balanced package on the day. Pleased to award him WINNERS DOG.

2. RIVER’S SECRET AGENTMAN @ AYLESFORD (Ch. Ayelsford On Cue CD RA HT x Honeyfox Come Go With Me) Breeders: Shawn M Michael & Susan Strickland. Owners: Elizabeth Mercer & Mary DeToma. A red and white boy. Nice proportions to the head. A bit higher on leg than I like. He has good rear angulation, but lacks it in the front assembly, thus losing his balance and ability to move with ease.

3. MAHAN CREEK’S ROUGH RIDER (GCh. Riverside Xtra Style x Mahan Ceek’s Sticks and Stones) Breeders: Patricia Panzarella & Carol Green. Owners: Denise Malinowski & Patricia Panzarella & Brian Holmes. Red and white boy with pleasing outline. Head proportions correct, pleasing eye. Nicely balanced throughout, unfortunately was not moving his best today.

BRED-BY-EXHIBITOR, DOGS (4 exhibited)

1. REINWOOD HARLEY HERITAGE SOFTAIL (GCh. Pembury House Be Still My Heart x Reinwood One For The Money) Breeders: Mary Elizabeth Simpson & Cathy Santarsiero. Owners: Cathy Santarsiero & Mary Elizabeth Simpson. A light red and white boy. Very pleasing headpiece with a nice dark eye. Lacking in some coat today. Great outline, with neck flowing well into his shoulder and  topline. Balanced front to rear, with nice ribbing. Clean coming, would like a bit better going away.  Prefer a tad more bone for his size and a thicker pad. Handsome dog. Contender in WD.

2. CRYSMONT NCIS SPECIAL AGENT (Ch. Sandfox Super Nova x Ch. Crysmont Elizabeth of Marymead) Breeders: Deborah Blais & Jerry & Sharon Pratt. Owners: Deborah & Maurice Blais. Red and white boy. Lovely headpiece, soft eye. Nice moderate dog with great balance front to rear. Clean coming and going. Moved with ease.

3. CRYSTAL LLANDIAN’S WHAT’S THE STORY (Aberlee Inside Story x Crystal Cinnamon Girl) Breeder: Karen Baker & Samuel Baker. Owners: Karen Baker & Samuel Baker & Dianne Connolly. Red and white boy. Handsome guy with pretty headpiece. A moderate package, although balanced front to rear, would like more angulation to move with ease around the ring. Very busy today. In gleaming condition.

4. TENBAY XIV KARAT KISS A GIRL (GCh. Creekside Hard Workin Man x Ch. Aubrey’s The Party Never Ends) Breeder: Sherri Hurst & Roberta Lord. Owner: Roberta Lord. Red and white boy. Bigger  than those above. I can appreciate his length of body and level topline, he was clean coming and going, moved with ease. His head was lacking proportion, planes being equal in length instead of 3 to 5.

OPEN, DOGS (2 exhibited)

1. SHOREFIRE WILD WILD WEST (GCh. Pembury House Be Still My Heart x Ch. MACH Sandfox Rags to Riches RN HSAds HIAds HXads MXB MJB) Breeders: Carol Donnelly & Vicki Sandage DVM. Owner: Carol Donnelly. Red and white boy. Moderate made dog Lacking in coat today. Headpiece is proportioned correctly. He is balanced front to rear and holds his topline on the move, clean coming and going. Would give him more length of body for a better outline.

2. DRAGONJOY SOME BUNNY TO LOVE (Dragonjoy Fall From A Star x Ch. Aubrey’s Forever N For Always) Breeder: Chiara Ceredi. Owners: Cynthia M. Savioli & Vincent Savioli. A good sized red and white boy. Would prefer better proportions to the head. I appreciate his length of body and proper ribbing. His neck flows well into his good shoulder layback and topline. Lacking the same angle in the rear, thus does not have the balance .that will give him ease of movement around the ring. Seemed upset by something today and did not show his best. He is in good condition and coat.

(GCh. Creekside Hard Workin Man x Ch. Kestrel Leftbank Rejoice)
Breeders/Owners: Ann Caterson & Lynne Bloor Wolfe

Breeders/Owners: Andrew Carter & Sue King

PUPPY 6 MONTHS AND UNDER 9 MONTHS, BITCHES (3 exhibited)

1. WYNFOX CREPE GEORGETTE (Ch. Wynfox Lion In Winter  X Wynfox Isle Of Capri) Breeder/ Owner Carolann Van Wyen. Red and white. Very Sweet! Proper size and proportions for this age. Pretty headpiece with a lovely dark eye. She is balanced front to rear, clean coming and going. I would give her a bit more muscle tone to help keep that topline solid on the move at times. Age should help. Lovely puppy! Pleased to award her BEST PUPPY.

2. CARDINAL’S THE SCARLET LETTER (Ch. Ciregna That’s Amore X Ch. Ranpri Cardinal’s Tempe) Breeder/Owner: Dee Ambrose-Stahl. Tri girl. She is a slightly larger mold than puppy above and in gleaming condition. Headpiece could be better, being somewhat narrow giving a odd look to the eye set. She has a nice shoulder layback and rear but on the move tends to break in the middle also from lack of muscle strength. Age should help.

3. WYNFOX CHANTILLY LACE FOR CARADOC (Ch. Wynfox Lion In Winter  X Wynfox Isle Of Capri) Breeder: Carolan Van Wyen. Owners: Heidi Kennedy & Carolann Van Wyen. Red and white.  Proper head proportions, soft eye. A balanced puppy, she just did not have the angles of the other two. I would like a bit more bone to balance her out. A bit unsure today, but she is young.

PUPPY 9 MONTHS AND UNDER 12 MONTHS, BITCHES (2 exhibited)

1. BROGAN ALLENS CREEK STARBURST (GCh. Hum’nbird Groundhog Day X Brogan Wishing Star) Breeder/Owners: Mari Carroll & Julie Jackson. Tri girl. A moderate package. Cute girl with proper proportions to her head. She is balanced front to rear, but would give her slightly more angle to achieve that ease in movement on the go round. Clean coming and going. In good coat and condition.

2. NCHANTED SILLY LOVE STONGS (GCh. Nchanted Silk Lining x Ch. Pemberley’s Fond Memories At Nchanted) Breeders/Owners: Carol Braunstein & Ann Bavaria. Red girl. Slightly longer made. Proportions correct in headpiece, just would wish for a bit more refinement. I appreciate her topline and shoulder angle on the move, would give her a bit more upper arm to provide proper reach in front and more ease of movement around the ring.

12 TO 18 MONTH, BITCHES (3 exhibited)

1. SANDFOX GREENWOODS CHANCES ARE (Ch. Dwynella Take a Chance x Ch. Sandfox Interlude) Breeders: Feli Noeller & Vicki Sandage.  Owners: Dede Rodgers & Mary Greenwood.  Red girl. Nicely put down moderate package! Pretty, feminine headpiece of proper proportions. Good arch of neck which flows to balanced angles front and rear. Clean moving all around. Level topline. Not a glamour coat, but a correct one. An easy winner today. Also strong contender in WB.

2. AUBREY TENBAY ROCK & ROLL ALL NIGHT ON BROADWAY (Ch. Pemintenn Wisteria Sky Rocket x Ch. Aubrey Rollin On The River) Breeders: Roberta Lord, Cynthia M Savioli & Vincent Savioli. Owners: Peggy Dubosky, Cynthia M Savioli & Vincent Savioli. Red girl. Bigger made girl than 1, I appreciate her arch of neck and layback of shoulder that flows well to her good length of rib. She is slightly long in her hock making her ride up in her croup on the go round. I would like better proportions in her headpiece. She is in good condition.

3. PEMBURY HOUSE JORASH MOULIN ROUGE (GCh. Heartsong Brynlea Pavarotti x Pembury House Memories) Breeders: Sandi Eaton & Anne Stirlin. Owners: Ellen Schusterson & Sandi Eaton. Red girl. Again another moderate made girl as our standard calls for. More similar to first in outline. Proper head proportions, balance front to rear, she just was not cooperating with her handler today.

BRED-BY-EXHIBITOR, BITCHES (12 exhibited)

1. BRUMBAER’S KRAYOLA BOX (Ch. Aberlee Phantom Sequence x Curig Faerietale Queen’s Cup) Breeders/Owners: Sue King & Karen Fruhmann. Tri girl in Gleaming coat and condition. Lovely breed type in a  nice moderate package. Beautiful headpiece, soft eye, lovely proportions. Her neck flows into a nice layback of shoulder and a level topline giving that beautiful flow all the way through her rear of total balance.  Beautiful bone and feet. She is clean coming and going and moved with ease around the ring. Handled to perfection. Pleased to award her BEST OF WINNERS / WINNERS BITCH.

2. XIV KARAT COOK’N UP SOMETHING SPECIAL AT BRIGADOON (GCh. Tallyrand Halo Chaser x Ch. XIV Karat Follow Your Heart) Breeders/Owners: Sherri S Hurst & Betty M Cook. Red girl. Love the outline this bitch has when she strikes a pose. Beautiful breed type. Head proportions are correct, pretty eye. Her lovely arch of neck flows well to a good layback of shoulder with a lovely topline and strong rear. Balanced angles front to rear, but would give her slightly more upper arm and stifle to give her the ease of movement on the go round. She is lovely, and a spitfire to show. Pleased to reward her RESERVE WINNERS BITCH.

3. KELTICFOX DREAMS OF A RAINBOWS END (Ch. Aberlee Phantom Sequence x Ch. Foxtale Irish Eyeon) Breeders: John Dugan & Dr. Joseph Grecco & Virginia Fitzgerald. Owners: John Dugan & Joseph Greco. Red girl.  A nice moderate bitch with good balance. Headpiece is of proper proportions, nice soft eye. Neck flows nicely into a good shoulder and topline standing and on the move.  She is clean coming and going and in good condition and beautiful coat. Another lovely girl.

4. ACT TWO SWEET MYSTERY OF LIFE (Ch. Sandfox Skywalker At XII Maples x Taichritia Fluer-de-Lis) Breeders: Carrie DeJan & Joan Healy. Owner: Carrie DeJan. Red girl. Again another lovely moderate bitch. Lacking some coat today. She is in wonderful body condition. Similar body style to my first place girl. Headpiece of proper proportions, would like a softer look, which lack of coat does not help. Her neck flows well into a good shoulder and topline with a strong rear. She is clean moving all around. Yet another lovely girl.

AMERICAN BRED, BITCHES (1 exhibited)

1. SANDFOX SUPERB LYREBIRD (GCh. Sandfox Medaglia D’ORO x GCh. Sandfox Kismet) Breeders: Vicki Sandage DVM & Deidre Rodgers. Owners: Vicki Sandage DVM & Denise Hartley. Red girl. Nice outline. Headpiece feminine, good arch of neck that flows well into her shoulder. A bit tighter coated, giving the look of more leg than desired. Clean on the move in all directions.

OPEN, BITCHES (2 exhibited)

1. REINWOOD ELECTRA GLIDE (GCh. Pembury House Be Still My Heart x Reinwood One For The Money) Breeders/Owners: Mary Elizabeth Simpson & Cathy Santarsiero. Red girl. Lovely balanced moderate package. Beautiful proportions to her headpiece, nice soft eye. Nice flow of neck into a good layback of shoulder. Excellent rib, good let down rear. Clean moving in all directions. Would prefer a thicker pad to the foot and slightly better texture to the coat. Another strong contender in WB.

2. HARMONY WHISKEY RIVER (Ch. Harmony Steamboat Willie x Harmony Curves Ahead) Breeder/Owner: Melody Kist. Red girl. Pretty headpiece, proper proportions. Average length of neck. I bit unsure today. Needs better balance front to rear to move higher today. In good condition and coat.
