My heartfelt thanks go to the committee of the PWCCGS for inviting me over to this enjoyable specialty. A great honor. The welcome was heartwarming and organization second to none. My thanks to Bobbe Lord for her great hospitality and friendliness, and also to my steward, Richard, for his cheerful help, and to Linda for her attention in also looking out for me. The gift I was given, wonderful green glass, made it safely home to UK; it will be treasured.
My BOB and BOS were all I would hope to see in our breed. The quality down the line was very strong and that made my decisions very much harder. Looking at the puppy classes I feel the future of our lovely breed is assured, as long as movement is watched. As a whole, movement was good, but a few were let down by this.
My BOB and BOS were all I would hope to see. Thank you to their owners and all the competitors for coming to this show and making it such a memorable occasion.

(pembury house)
Thank you to the Garden State club for inviting me to judge the sweepstakes at your specialty show. This is a show I have always enjoyed being an exhibitor at, so I hold this assignment dear to my heart. I am very grateful to my efficient ring steward, Richard Burd, and for the wonderful hospitality I was shown by Bobbe Lord.
The entry in general was of high quality. I was particularly impressed with my bitch classes. I found beautiful heads to be the norm throughout the bitches. My top winners were exceptional in all areas. I wish them continued success in the future.

SWEEPSTAKES PUPPY 6 TO 9 MONTH DOGS (4 exhibited)
1. PEMBERLEY NCHANTED SILVER LINING (GCh. Nchanted Silk Lining x Ch. Honeyfox Maggie May II) Breederd: T. & A. Bavaria. Owner: Carol Braunstein. Very nice red and white with good side gait. Neck flowed nicely into his shoulder and down through his back as well as correct length loin which gave this boy a beautiful outline. Pretty head with a pleasant eye. Correctly shaped ear, but they a small tendency to curl back at the tips. A tad bit wide between the shoulders which resulted in his being a little wide in the front. He had a nice topline, underline and good prosternum. He had good feet. Well presented.
2. TOWNHILL MAXWELL’S SILVER HAMMER (Jorash Foxway Alternative Rock x Ch. TownHill Galaxy At XIII Maples) Breeders: M. & H. Russo & E. Childs. Owner: Mark Russo. Red and white fellow who didn’t want to show off his nice neck. He had a tendency to toe in on one foot. Very nice mover with a sweet boyish head, he also had nice feet. Although he had correct length, he would stand under himself giving him the appearance of a shorter back than what he had. Pretty fellow who seemed a little distracted due to the new environment.
3. KELTICFOXTALE RIVER OF DREAMS (Ch. Aberlee Phantom Sequence x Ch. Foxtale Irish Ellyon) Breeders: J. Dugan & J. Greco & V. Fitzgerald. Owner: Virginia C. Fitzgerald. Red and white with a super pretty head and sweet eye. His neck and body length was not that of the ones above. He had a tendency to roach over the loin when he moved, which could just be a growth stage. He had a very nice foot. He was turned out in beautiful coat.
4. KELTICFOX FIELD OF DREAMS (Ch. Aberlee Phantom Sequence x Ch. Foxtale Irish Ellyon) Breeders: J. Dugan & J. Greco & V. Fitzgerald. Owners: John P. Dugan & Dr. Joseph A. Greco. This red and white boy, a brother of the above, carried a lovely underline. He had a nice neck, but was a bit straighter fore and aft than his littermate. He carried beautiful ears and a nice foot. He was very well trained, kudos to his owner.
SWEEPSTAKES PUPPY 9 TO 12 MONTH DOGS (3 exhibited)
1. FOXTALE’S CAPITAL ONE (Ch. Byendebrok Maplecreek Baccarat,CD,HSAs,Mx,AXJ x Ch. Corgards Finnishing Tuch At Foxtale) Breeders: V. Fitzgerald & M. Pohl & K. Boll. Owner: Virginia C. Fitzgerald. Wow, what a pretty boy with wonderful breed type! He had beautiful head with correct proportions. Attractive mascara and the sabling on his eartips framed his head with elegance. He moved with a free and easy stride and held his topline on the go. He held a perfectly arched neck. His outline was picture perfect and finished up with a nice foot. He was turned out in excellent condition and was well presented. It was my pleasure to name him BEST of OPPOSITE in SWEEPSTAKES
2. CRESCENTHILL PARTY BOY (GCh. Ryslip History Boy x Crescenthill Party Favour) Breeders/Owners: Cheryl & Edward Heath. This red head tri had a beautiful long neck. He covered the ring with balanced side gait and had a level topline. He was very well trained.
3. LLANDIANS PHANTOM STORM (Ch. Aberlee Phantom Sequence x Spock Dancing With The Storm) Breeder/Owner: Dianne Connolly. An up-to-size red and white with a beautiful coat and attractive head. Can sometimes be round in the croup and was high in the rear when he moved. He had a tendency to flip his front feet on the move. He did not quite have the angulation and movement at this time as the above.
SWEEPSTAKES 15 TO 18 MONTH DOGS (2 exhibited)
1. AYLESFORD WIND OF CHANGE NORTHRUN (Rosewood Brigantine x Aylesford Victoria’s Secret) Breeder: E. Mercer. Owner: Cathy Donovan. Up-to-size, plainer marked red and white with free easy movement. He had a super topline which held on the move. His pretty head had correct proportions and finished with a sweet expression. He had a nice prosternum, well angulated both front and rear, good underline and a pretty outline.
2. KALLISTA CALL ME IRRESISTIBLE (Ch. Tri Umph Taint No Saint x Kallista Eight Belles) Breeder: M. Williams. Owners: Patti Wolf & Millie Williams. This red headed tri boy had lovely markings. He had a pretty head with a nice finished muzzle with good under jaw and dark pigment. He was turned out well and carried a good topline. I would prefer a little more shoulder angulation. He was out moved on the day.
SWEEPSTAKES PUPPY 6 TO 9 MONTH BITCHES (9 exhibited)
1. TOWNHILL PENNY LANE (Jorash Foxway Alternative Rock x Ch. Townhill Galaxy At Exiii Maples) Breeders: Mark & Holly Russo. Owner: Mark Russo. This young gal just drips with breed type! She has an absolutely beautiful sweet feminine head and dreamy eyes. This red and white young girl has elegant neck that flows well into her shoulder. Nice front angles and strong rear. She has a correct spring of rib, is well ribbed back and carries a beautiful underline. She has correct bone down to her correct compact feet. She is a super mover, is clean both coming and going. She carries her topline well both standing and on the move. Groomed to perfection and well handled in spite of a bit of chaos in an adjoining ring. She worked hard for best. I was thrilled to award her BEST in SWEEPSTAKES
2. PEMBERLEY’S A MATCH MADE IN HEAVEN (GCh. Nchanted Silk Lining x Ch. Honeyfox Maggie May II) Breeders/Owners: Thomas & Ann Bavaria. This red and white girl, the littermate to the 6-9 puppy dog class winner also had an absolutely beautiful head. Her topline had a tendency to ride up in the rear, I am sure this is just due to her age. Nice well angulated front, rear seemed to have more drive setting her a little off balance at times. Turned out beautifully and well handled. I expect she will have a bright future.
3. BRYNLEA RHYTHM OF THE RAIN (Ch. Sandfox Cadenza x Brynlea Willowisp Singularity) Breeder/Owner: Brenda Stiles. What a sweetie this gal is. Red and White nicely bodied with light sable overlay. Well angled fore and aft. She had a nice upper arm, beautiful underline. Yet another beautiful head! She had a lovely outline and moved well on sidegait. She was somewhat loose and wide in front coming at you. Her topline could bounce a tad now and again. Pretty foot, overall of lovely quality.
4. KELTICFOXTALE DREAM WEAVER (Ch. Aberlee Phantom Sequence x Ch. Foxtale Irish Ellyon) Breeders: J. Dugan & J. Greco & V. Fitzgerald. Owner: Virginia C. Fitzgerald. Feminine red and white. This must be the class of gorgeous heads! Darling girl, and sweet face. Correct muzzle with nice underjaw. She did not want to use her pretty correctly shaped ears today. She had a nice back, I would like a little lower on leg, very pretty feet. Coming she was a little wide. She was groomed to perfection.
SWEEPSTAKES PUPPY 9 TO 12 MONTH BITCHES (6 exhibited)
1. HUM’NBIRD CLASSIC POETRY (Ch. Hum’nbird Ice My Cake x Hum’nbird Classic Style) Breeder/Owner: Carrie A. Chase. Chase When this red and white girl moved around the ring on her first go around, I thought…did anyone see what I just saw? Wow! This is probably one of the best side gaits I have seen in quite a while. She just floated around the ring! This very correct, plainly marked gal was well ribbed back, had a pretty underline, and turn of stifle. She had an attractive head and a correct foot. She was a tad wide coming at you. I could have watched her move for hours. She was a strong contender for Best in Sweeps, I just preferred the head of the winner. Congratulations to her breeder for such a quality bitch.
2. WINDHAMLAIR ITS A GOOD THING (Ch. Jorash Foxway Graceland x Ch Windhamlair Charlottes Web) Breeders/Owners: Pamela A. Mills Cone. Pretty red and white, who also moved without a lot of effort. Could use a bit more muzzle to finish off her pretty head. Super long and elegant neck although could use a little more prosternum. She carried her bone down well into her feet. Too bad she left her coat at home. Lovely girl.
3. KESTREL LEFTBANK CELEBRATION (Ch. Daydream Kestrel Begin The Bequine x Ch. Kestrel Leftbank Rejoice) Breeders/Owners: Ann Caterson & Lynne Bloor Wolfe. This sweet faced red and white girl, would tilt her head and just want you to know how cute she was. Pretty head and neck. She had pretty breed type. To nitpick, she was a little shorter in back than the ones above. She could move a bit wide in front and would fall off at the croup at times. Lovely young girl with a bright future.
4. WINDHAMLAIR LATE JULY (Ch. Jorash Foxway Graceland x Ch. Windhamlair Charlotte’s Web) Breeder/Owner: Pamela A. Mills Cone. This is the littermate to the 2nd place in this class. Red and white with a really pretty head. This girl has pretty type, but again to nitpick she could use a little more length. Shown in wonderful coat, and handled well.

1. SANDFOX STARDUST (Ch. Sandfox Orion of Redbrook x Ch. Sandfox Interlude) Breeders/Owners: Vicki L. Sandage & Felicita Noeller. Red and white with soft, sweet yet interested expression. She had nice reach and was a very balanced mover. Her top line did not hold at times. Pretty underline.
2. CRYSTAL LLANDIAN STORYBOOK ROMANCE (Aberlee Inside Story x Crystal Cinnamon Girl) Breeders: K. & S. Baker. Owners: Karen M. & Samuel Baker & Dianne Connolly. Red and white girl with another pretty head and beautiful pigment. She had a nice ear set, carried a pretty underline and was well boned down to her nice feet. She also had lovely type. I preferred the eye on the first placement in her class. She had a tendency to roach, not quite as balanced as the one above. Turned out beautifully.
SWEEPSTAKES 15 TO 18 MONTH BITCHES (3 exhibited)
1. CANDLE IN THE WIND @ WINDDANCER (Ch. Rosewood Brigantine x Aylesford Victoria’s Secret) Breeder: E. Mercer. Owners: Mary DeToma & Elizabeth Mercer. This elegant long and low tri girl carried a good strong topline. She had a feminine head with a sweet expression. She was balanced in her outline both standing and on the move. She had a nice shoulder, a well angled rear and was well ribbed back.
2. BRUMBAER’S KRAYOLA BOX (Ch. Aberlee Phantom Sequence x Curig Faerietale Queens Cup) Breeders/Owners: Susan King & Karen Fruhmann. Flashy, attractive tri girl was more up to size than the first place in the class. She had pretty pigment and very good under jaw. She could lose her topline on the move and was a little wide in the front. I would prefer a deeper angle in the rear. She did not have the overall balance of the winner of this class.
3. QUIETWINTER LEGGOCY’S SPICE GIRL (Ch. Honeyfox Secret Love x Quiet Winter’s Flower In The Snow) Breeder: Sean Fox. Owners: Sue Worsham & Gladys May & Heather Kehlor. This red and white girl held her topline well on the move. Sweet face and expression. She was a little overweight on the day.
