PUPPY 3-6 MONTHS, DOGS (2 exhibited)

  1. Nchanted Concerto Owner: Ginny Gilman. This red with sabling baby boy seemed to enjoy himself in the ring.  He is balanced in construction with level back, flat croup and nice bottomline.  He has correct ears, dark eyes, and good pigmentation.  Though longer in loin, he held his topline both on the stand and on the move.   His movement was very efficient in all directions and he was simply flying around the ring when given an opportunity.  His balance, movement, correct outline, together with his showy attitude won him first place in this class and BEST PUPPY in MATCH.
  2. Fairysteed The Steel Pier Owner: Karen Gunzel. This red with white baby has a balanced outline, attractive head with good expression, very dark eye, excellent pigment, correct ear set, good proportions overall. Good bone and feet. His movement was clean in all directions. He is a very nice puppy and it was just his bad luck that he was in the same class with number one.

PUPPY 3-6 MONTHS, BITCHES (2 exhibited)

  1. Nchanted Syncopated Rhythm Owner: Carol Braunstein. This is a charming red headed tri baby bitch with a lovely head and sweet expression enhanced by dark eyes and good pigmentation.  She is a litter sister of the Best Puppy in Match and has a similar long and low outline, not exaggerated in any way, and with plenty of scope. She is well angulated and balanced. Her topline was solid on the stand and on the move, and her movement was clean from all directions. I found her feet too round for my liking, which might change with age as bones grow out.
  2. Fairysteed Carousel Owner: Karen Gunzel. This is a pretty and feminine red and white baby bitch with good proportions and a balanced outline.  She has dark eyes, good pigment, and a good set of ears. Good bone and feet.  This is a quality puppy but on the day I preferred the movement of number one.

6-9 MONTHS, BITCHES (3 exhibited)

  1. Aubrey’s Foreign Love Affair At Grey Angel’s Place Owner: Richard Burd. This darker red puppy bitch has substance, ample bone, and excellent body type. Well up to size she is charming and feminine nevertheless. She has a level topline with a matching bottomline, and a good length of gently arched neck. I loved her big ears with thick leather, and correct planes of her skull.  Her muzzle is a little bit narrow.  Her side movement was adequate. Her coming was clean, but her going was not as confident on this day.
  2. Homespun Mercy Me Owner: Annie Baker. This is a redheaded tri puppy bitch with a dead level topline which she held on the stand and on the move.  Her eyes are dark and pigmentation is excellent.  She has nice ears and correct proportions of the head.  Despite slightly shorter upper arm she moved with ease.  She is a quality puppy but I preferred the length and angulation of number one.
  3. Brynlea Karma Kimberly Diamond Owner: Brenda Stiles. This is a feminine light sable girl of correct proportions and size. She is capable of fluid, free movement and seems to have good potential. Unfortunately she didn’t want to show today which made it difficult to evaluate her properly and cost her higher placement.

9-12 MONTHS, DOGS (1 exhibited)

  1. Heritage Brogan Light The Lamp Owner: Mari Carroll. This youngster is glamorous and attracts immediate attention with his beautiful breed type and expert presentation. I loved his elegant outline, long neck, and good ribbing. He has good bone and feet. His head is handsome with dark eyes and lovely expression. His coat is a rich shade of red and correct in structure.  Today he was toeing out slightly when standing, and crossing over when coming, which is likely to be corrected with maturity.  He was moving adequately from the side.

9-12 MONTHS, BITCHES (1 exhibited)

  1. Sandfox Dancing In The Dark Owner: Denise Hartley. This is a redheaded tri puppy bitch with a level topline, good length of body, and a good reach of neck. She has dark eyes and correct ears, but lacking in underjaw, which spoils her expression. Her movement in all directions was adequate. Would prefer more bone and better spring of rib.

BRED BY DOG (1 exhibited)

  1. Fairysteed The Stone Pony Owner: Karen Gunzel. This red with white 18 weeks old puppy was shown in this class to avoid putting him in one class with his litter brother. Unfortunately it created some confusion with his title. He has a very handsome face, dark eyes, and excellent pigmentation.  Very nice outline with straight back. This baby has good ribbing. His movement was clean from all sides.  BEST ADULT in MATCH

BRED BY BITCHES (1 exhibited)

  1. Fairysteed A Is For Alibi Owner: Karen Gunzel. This red and white bitch has a level topline and correct height to length proportions. Her movement was adequate. Her expression would be more pleasing if her eyes were darker and the whites did not show around the iris.
