(snowdonia)

I was so pleased to be asked to judge this Specialty and thank all for coming and showing in the atrocious weather with strong winds and heavy showers. I’m sure this made a lot of difference to the performance and showmanship of some of the dogs. I so appreciated my ring steward, Terry Coughlin, and Cindy Savioli for saving my book numerous times. What a great club you have with hard working and kind members. Thank you especially for my wonderful gift of a jewelry box with “Polo” Ch. Anwyl Harvest Moon painted on the lid. I was speechless.

I am sorry my tape recorder had a mind of it’s own and erased all my remarks due to the quality of the recording ( long involved story to be told when time – but I did not know it had this feature). My notebook pages were all wet and stuck together, and as soon as I reached the hotel I did expand some of my notes not realizing the tape recorder would erase during the night. Some dogs I vividly recall and those I have detailed, but what few notes I was able to take I hope you all will understand if your dog’s critiques are not covered.

PUPPY 6 MONTHS AND UNDER 9 MONTHS, DOGS (5 exhibited)

This first class was a wonderful surprise with such depth of quality. We have usually seen this quality in the young bitch classes over the years. These splendid examples of the males bode well for future stud dogs

1. HARMONY TAKE ME TO THE RIVER (Ch. Harmony Steamboat Willie x Harmony Curves Ahead) Breeder/Owner: Melody A. Kist. This baby was a light red and white with correct head proportions; parallel planes; dark eyes and pigment. Lovely size ears, fitting his head. Good bone and nice tight feet. Short hocks. Level top line he held on the move. Moved smartly all ways with balanced reach and drive and side gait.
2. GREENWOODS FAME AND FORTUNE (Ch. Heartsong Brynlea Pavarotti x Ch. Sandfox Destiny) Breeders: Vicki Sandage & Deidre Rodgers. Owners: Deidre Rodgers & Mary Greenwood. Another super quality red and white boy, more mature. Excellent proportions, lovely silhouette, showed so well. Balanced reach and drive and good front. Pushed hard for first place but he showed a slight rise over the loin on the go around.
3. MYSTICAL TORCH RUNNER AT BROGAN (Ch. Milestone Regatta x Ch. Mystical Slam Dunk) Breeder: D. Beal. Owners: Mari Carroll & Deborah Beal. A splendid puppy also, such a pleasing head and expression. Nicely moving and showing well. Will do well — too bad he had to meet these other boys today.
4. JORASH LASTSTOP SO SLY (Ch. Corgard Forbidden Memories x Ch. Laststop Sosa Sensational) Breeder/Owners: Ellen Schusterson & Carol Dowd. Another with good proportions and a nice length of neck. Moved well — also unfortunate to meet these above today. He will do well in the future.

PUPPY 9 MONTHS AND UNDER 12 MONTHS, DOGS (3 exhibited)

3 more boys of good quality.

1.  PEMBURY HOUSE ARC DE TRIOMPHE (Ch. Aberlee Bransby x Ch. Pembury House La Priere) Breeders/Owners: Sandi Eaton & Deborah Beal & Patricia Bittles. This attractive boy, pretty silhouette and size won this class on his headpiece over No.2. Presented in lovely condition.
2.  JORASH KAYBE ROLLING ROCK (Jorash Foxway Alternative Rock x Kaybee Dreams A Brewin) Breeders/Owners: Ellen Schusterson & Sherryn Viebrock. A flashy red and white in full puppy coat; white collar and a showman. If this young dog’s back skull broadens to give him the correct head proportions, with his ring presence, showmanship combined with a level firm topline and sound movement all ways he will be a “Special” force to be contended with in the future. Beautifully presented.
3.  ANLEN BIG SPENDER (Ch. Sandfox Medaglia O’Oro x Ch. Anlen Miss Moneypenny) Breeder: Elena Stangel. Owner: Carla Hellander.

12 TO 18 MONTHS, DOGS (3 exhibited)

1.  MOOSEHILLS HOLIDAY HUSTLE (Ch. Aberlee Bransby x Moosehill Can’t Stop Luv’n Eewes) Breeder/Owner: Carla Hellander. This red and white was not bothered by the weather and showed beautifully for his handler. A nice size boy, balanced and a lovely silhouette. Dark eyes in a correctly proportioned headpiece with ears of correct size. In super condition. More of a rounded foot. RESERVE WINNERS DOG
2. EVERAFTER FOXTALE’S SWEET BEGINNINGS (Ch. Aberlee Bransby x Foxtale’s Sweet Nothings) Breeders/Owners: Beverly J. Burkhart & Virginia C. Fitzgerald. A pleasing head on this young dog. Holding his top line on the move and also showing well. Not the steady movement of No.1.
3. CREEKSIDE HARD WORKIN MAN (Ch. Aberlee Storm Force x Knightsbridge Picabo Street) Breeders: Michael & Michelle Scott. Owners: Kathleen S. Norcia & Michelle Scott. A slightly larger boy than the others but not too big. These were 3 super quality boys — all with correct scissor bites. On the go-out he had a tendency to toe in with his right rear leg.

BRED-BY-EXHIBITOR, DOGS (4 exhibited)

1.  PAGEANTRY FEATURE PRESENTATION (Sandfox Skywalker At XIII Maples x Ch. Pembury House Haute Couture) Breeders: Donna Reardon & Sandi Eaton. Owner: Donna L. Reardon. Super nice head and expression on this one with lovely pigment. Good bone down to his tight oval feet. Correct bites on all again in this class.
2.  WYNFOX CAPTAIN HENRY ST JAMES (Ch. Nebriowa G Clooney x Ch. Milestone Doubles Partner) Breeder/Owner: Carolann VanWyen. A young red and white boy, unhappy with the strong winds and rain. He has an attractive headpiece with a dark eye and correct ears and placement. Short hocks. Good side gait. I really liked him but he did not like me.
3.  STARLITE FOXTALE’S TWIST IN TIME (Ch. Lostriver Tri’d N Tru Irish Mist x Ch. Foxtale’s Under The Boardwalk) Breeders/Owners: Virginia C. Fitzgerald & Barbara J. Boltz. A slightly bigger boy than 1 and 2 but not overdone. Lovely outline. Moved nicely all ways especially holding his topline firm on the go around.
4.  WALBORAH BOJOJAMILE PERIAPT (Ch. Dwynella Custom Made x Bojojamile Brush Wood) Breeders/Owners: Deborah S. Harper & Valerie Hutton. A red and white also, slightly different style head but correct size ears; dark eyes, good bite. Showed well. Preferred the rear movement on those above.

OPEN, DOGS (5 exhibited)

1.  SANDFOX SKYWALKER AT XIII MAPLES (Ch. Byendebrok Maplecreek Baccarat, PT x Sandfox Heavenly Body) Breeder: V. Sandage. Owners: Ellen C. Childs & Robert C. Cotes. A handsome red and white, shown in superb condition, with correct proportions making a beautiful picture. Level top line he held standing and on the move. Flat croup and strong sound rear with good bend of stifle and short hocks. A super headpiece on top of a nice length of neck flowing into such good shoulders. I was told that this made up his championship. Congratulations to his breeder and owners. WINNERS DOG
2.  JORASH FOXWAY JAILHOUSE ROCK (Jorash Foxway Graceland x Ch. Jorash Foxway Sweet Spot) Breeder/Owner: Ellen Schusterson. Another with a super level topline; nice size and balanced proportions. He moved with outstanding side gait. Many attributes of the first place dog and either could have placed first. Quality class.
3.  HARMONY YOSEMITE SAM (Ch. Aberlee Bransby x Harmony Adagio) Breeder/Owner: Melody A. Kist. This boy made a pretty picture standing with a lovely expression and correct head proportions. He was more upright in angulation so did not have the reach and drive of 1 & 2.
4.  HARMONY ROAD BLOCK (Ch. Harmony Just A Moment x Harmony Sweet Molly Malone) Breeder: Melody Kist. Owner: Edward W. Sheppard. This handsome tri dog had rich dark tan markings and lovely pigmentation. Good bone to nice tight feet. Strong rear quarters.

Loved both my Winners and Reserve Dogs. To nit pick — I preferred the tight oval feet of the Open Dog.

WINNERS DOG
SANDFOX SKYWALKER AT XIII MAPLES
(Ch. Byendebrok Maplecreek Baccarat, PT x Sandfox Heavenly Body) Breeder: V. Sandage. Owners: Ellen C. Childs & Robert C. Cotes.

RESERVE WINNERS DOG
MOOSEHILLS HOLIDAY HUSTLE
(Ch. Aberlee Bransby x Moosehill Can’t Stop Luv’n Eewes)
Breeder/Owner: Carla Hellander.

PUPPY 6 MONTHS AND UNDER 9 MONTHS, BITCHES (5 exhibited)

1.  HARMONY WHISKEY RIVER (Ch. Harmony Steamboat Willie x Harmony Curves Ahead) Breeder/Owner: Melody A. Kist. It was obvious she was litter sister to my 6-9 puppy dog class winner. These were like 2 peas in a pod and could be shown as a Brace easily. She was so feminine and I would have stolen her and taken her home. The same attributes as her brother but she had that “star” attitude and sparkled and the weather, which was not good at this time, did not bother her at all. RESERVE WINNERS BITCH / BEST PUPPY
2.  SPOCK DANCING WITH THE STORM (Ch. Aberlee Storm Force x Ch. Spock Little Cup Cake) Breeders: Denis Guerin & Murielle Cote Guerin. Owner: Dianne Connolly. Another pretty red and white, super head and expression with correct proportions, nice size ears and placement. Level topline; sound rear quarters and short hocks.
3.  MYSTICAL DREAM TEAM AT MILESTONE (Ch. Milestone Regatta x Ch. Mystical Slam Dunk) Breeder: D. Beal. Owner: Donna M. Gilbert. A deeper red color — very attractive also with pleasing head and expression. Good bone down to tight feet. More upright in shoulder layback therefore not the reach and drove of those above.
4.  LLANDIANS BLACK PEARL (Ch. Aberlee Phantom Sequence x Llandians Love On Ice) Breeder/Owner: Dianne Connolly. Pretty head and expression with good ears and placement. A tricolor with a gleaming black coat, smaller than those above. A dip behind the withers, widely spaced shoulder blades, caused by shorter upper arms, spoilt her outline also causing her to move wide in front.

PUPPY 9 MONTHS AND UNDER 12 MONTHS, BITCHES (4 exhibited)

Wind gusts during this class were really strong and dogs could barely stay on the table. All red and white girls in this class, correct scissor bites and good temperaments.

1.  JORASH KAYBE ROCK YOUR DREAMS (Jorash Foxway Alternative Rock x Kaybe Dreams A Brewin) Breeders/Owners: Ellen Schusterson & Sherryn Viebrock. Pretty headed girl with dark eyes and pigment. Level topline and good bend of stifle. Balance proportions. Her side gait gave her first in this very competitive class.
2.  CEDAR CREEK DEWDROP AT EVENSONG (Ch. Lostriver Tri’d N Tru Irish Mist x Terenelf Shweet P’Tater) Breeder: J. Gooding. Owners: Carol & George Openhym. A darker red color who moved out smartly front and rear. Level back and topline. Good bone down to pretty feet. Not as feminine in head.
3.  WYNFOX ISLE OF CAPRI (Ch. Nebriowa G Clooney x Ch. Milestone Doubles Partner) Breeder/Owner: Carolann VanWyen. Nicely balance proportions and silhouette. Pretty brown eyes and head proportions were the ideal 5/3.
4.  CALISTA’S CHERRY BOMB (Ch. Caralon Calista Hail To Reason x Ch. Calista’s Lady Jane) Breeders/Owners: John & Gaye Georges. Another with a pretty feminine head and level topline. Good turn of stifle moving neatly with acceptable side gait. Lost in Front movement.

12 TO 18 MONTH, BITCHES (4 exhibited)

1.  SANDFOX RAGS TO RICHES, HT (Ch. Sandfox Flying Finish, UD, HSAs, MX, AXJ x Sandfox Touch Gold) Breeder: V. Sandage. Owners: Carol Donnelly & Vicki Sandage. A light red and white with correct coat shown in good condition and showing well. Good length of neck into a level topline. Really feminine headpiece with correct 5/3 proportions. She was clean coming and going and went around the ring well.
2.  FOXTALE’S LILT OF IRISH LAUGHTER (Ch. Corgard Making Memories At Foxtale x Foxtale’s Gaelic Storm) Breeder/Owner: Virginia C. Fitzgerald. Correct head proportions on this red girl. Ears medium size and correctly placed. Clean coming and going with balanced side gait. Well developed chest with prosternum, elbows nicely fitting. She sloped off slightly at the croup.

My notes said “ Same type” – yes these 3 are litter sisters but there are differences of course.

3.  FOXTALE’S IRISH EYES ARE SMILING (Ch. Corgard Making Memories At Foxtale x Foxtale’s Gaelic Storm) Breeder: V. Fitzgerald. Owners: Ellen Schusterson & Kandy Boll & V. Fitzgerald & Michele Pohl. Slightly wider ear set on this one or was it the wind! Quality bitch. 2 and 3 could easily have changed places.
4.  FOXTALE IRISH ELLYON (Ch. Corgard Making Memories At Foxtale x Foxtale’s Gaelic Storm) Breeder: Virginia Fitzgerald. Owners: John P. Dugan & Dr. Joseph A. Greco & Virginia C. Fitzgerald. Very attractive with level topline again holding firm on the go around the ring. Pleasing expression with a nice brown oval eye. A truly outstanding litter. (One of these girls had some pink pigment still on her nose and I’m hoping it will fill in for her “black nose to be fully pigmented”.

BRED-BY-EXHIBITOR, BITCHES (4 exhibited)

Such an important class showcasing what our breeders are producing and should always be a quality class which I eagerly looked forward to judging.

1.  CORHIL DITES MOI (Ch. Dalarno Play It Again Sam x Festiniog Arbor Spotlight, NA, NAJ) Breeders/Owners: Linda & Susan Jacob. A tricolor shown in super condition with an outstanding silhouette, spirit level topline and firm back. Good length of ribbing, short loin. Moved and showed well, clean coming and going. Balanced side gait. She had good bone down to her neat oval feet. (So many similarities between 1 & 2.)
2.  HERONSWAY MILESTONE SPINNAKER (Ch. Milestone Regatta x Ch. Heronsway Send In The Clowns) Breeders/Owners: Donna M. Gilbert & Anne H. Bowes. I thought she had this class won when she entered the ring. A red and white in excellent condition also. Good length of ribbing; short loin solid firm back and topline. Nice shoulder layback also with good angles front and rear. Moved steadily in spite of the weather. Head proportions ideal with dark eyes although a tad smaller than perfection (Could this have been due to the rain and winds causing her to “squint”).
3.  PAGEANTRY SPECIAL ATTRACTION (Sandfox Skywalker At XIII Maples x Ch. Pembury House Haute Couture) Breeder/Owner: Donna L. Reardon. Another quality red and white, pretty head. Good bone and tight well manicured feet. Prosternum well developed. Riding slightly high in the rear today.
4.  WALBORAH BOJOJAMILE AMULET (Ch. Dwynella Custom Made x Bojojamile Brush Wood) Breeders/Owners: Deborah S. Harper & Valerie Hutton. This young lady was in season and her coat on the blow. Has a dark oval eye and pigment. Ears of correct medium size and placed well. Scissor bite; failed in front movement.

AMERICAN-BRED, BITCHES (1 exhibited)

1.  JORASH KAYBE ROCK REVIVAL (Jorash Foxway Alternative Rock x Kaybe Dreams A Brewin) Breeders/Owners: Ellen Schusterson & Sherryn Viebrock. Looking at my catalog I see this is the third in a very nice litter. A flashy red and white with full white collar but slightly shorter in body length but a quality bitch with pleasing head and expression. Showed well and in lovely condition. Moved out well all ways.

OPEN, BITCHES (9 exhibited)

1.  KAYBE CORGARD FOREVER LOVELY AT JORASH (Ch. Wanderpond Cooperstown x Ch. Corgard Kaybe Memories Forever) Breeders: Sherryn Viebrock Kandy Bohl & Michele Pohl. Owners: Ellen Schusterson & Sherryn Viebrock & Kandy Boll. This lovely tri girl with lighter tan markings lives up to her name. Standing in the middle of the ring the silhouette of this bitch fits the standard to perfection. Her neck flowed into super set shoulders, spirit level topline and flat croup. Her prosternum and well fitting elbows and wrap front finish off the picture. What a mover! Above all she excelled in side gait — one of the best I’ve ever seen. She did not like the weather at first, not wanting to use her ears but could not be denied this class win. She covered the ring with reach and drive and held her top line strong and firm. Handled and presented beautifully. In Winners class she decided to turn on the ears during a brief pause in the rains. Congratulations to her breeders/owners because also I saw her full litter sister win WB on Saturday and another sister I understand was WB on Sunday.WINNERS BITCH
2.  XIII MAPLES HOLIDAY STAR (Sandfox Skywalker At XIII Maples x Ch. XIII Maples Selene On Townhill) Breeder: E. Childs. Owners: Ellen C. Childs & Robert Cotes. A beautiful type red and white girl — too bad she had to meet #1 today. Gorgeous head, eyes and expression — correct 5/3 proportions. (Seeing the catalog I Loved her mother whom she resembles). Slightly shorter body length. Moved clean coming and going but not the reach and drive of No.1.
3.  MILESTONE BEACH PLUM (Ch. Rosewood Smooth Sailing x Milestone Center Court) Breeder/Owner: Donna M. Gilbert. A deeper red and white girl. Nicely balanced and showing and holding a firm level back. Pretty head and expression. Good bone to neat tight oval feet. She was happier as the winds decreased.
4.  BELLISSIMO LUCIANNA DI NAPOLI (Ch. Sua Mah Thanks for Believing x Ch. Hum’nbird Vanilla Ice) Breeders/Owners: Anthony & Debra Pepe. A mature red and white 3 year old. Level and firm topline; Good bone and tight oval feet. Handled and showed well. Needs to loose a little weight.

1.  CH. GREENWOODS MOONLIGHT MADNESS (Ch. Dwynella Take A Chance x Ch. Faerie Glen Stardust Melody) Breeders/Owners: Deidre Rodgers & Mary Greenwood. I’ve always loved this girl and she is in superb condition and loved to be in the ring. The whole show was put on just for her. Great mover and showman.
2.  CH. BROGAN BRECKENRIDGE (Ch. Tenbay’s All My Loving x Brogan Belle of The Ball) Breeder/Owner: Mari Carroll. A gleaming tricolor also in excellent condition. Moved well all ways and having a wonderful time.
3.  JIMANIE’S GOLDEN TOUCH, CD, RE, TD, HT, NA, NJP (Ch. Sua Mah Always In Cahoots x Jimanie’s Sweet Talker) Breeders: Stephanie Hedgepath & Linda Galphin. Owner: Peg Forte. A deep red and white lady in fabulous firm condition. She’s a “Working” girl for sure — look at those titles.
4.  CH. AUBREY’S BUY ME A ROSE (Ch. Aubrey Brookehaven Outlandish x Ch. Pinemeade Watercolors) Breeders: Cynthia & Vincent Savioli. Owner: Richard Burd. A bigger lady with more substance. A beautiful head; level topline she held on the move. Super coat and condition.

BEST of BREED
CH. MILESTONE REGATTA
(Ch. Rosewood Smooth Sailing x Milestone Center Court)
Breeder: D. Gilbert. Owners: Donna M. Gilbert & Diane Jacobson.

A red and white truly handsome male. Balanced proportions with lovely silhouette. The epitome of 40% longer than tall. Moderately long and low. A truly handsome headpiece with parallel planes, moderate stop, dark brown eyes and lovely expression and those medium size ears fitting his head to perfection. Moved soundly all ways with balanced reach and drive under a level firm topline. In lovely condition – the icing on the cake.

The triple crown – Breeder/Owner and Handler – Congratulations.

(Ch. Lostriver Tri’d NTru Irish Mist x Honeyfox Tiz Dancing Deuces)

Outstanding silhouette and proportions. Good length of ribbing and short loin. Rear quarters strong and sound and she reached out beautifully with flowing balanced side gait. Pretty head and expression so enjoyable to judge her. She was presented beautifully and showed steadily for her handler.

I would like to thank the Pembroke Welsh Corgi Club of the Garden State for inviting me to judge their sweepstakes. As a founding member of this club, it was an honor to judge our specialty during our 25th anniversary celebration. I would like to thank Terry Coughlin for being my ring steward, my wife Cindy for doing an outstanding job as show chairperson and to everyone else for making this specialty happen. I would also like to thank all the exhibitors for bringing their puppies to me. Even though the entry was not large, the quality was outstanding. I look forward to seeing some of these young dogs grow up in the near future.

SWEEPSTAKES PUPPY 6 MONTHS AND UNDER 9 MONTHS, DOGS (5 exhibited)

1. GREENWOODS FAME AND FORTUNE (Ch. Heartsong Brynlea Pavarotti x Ch. Sandfox Destiny) Breeders: Vicki Sandage & Deidre Rodgers. Owners: Deidre Rodgers & Mary Greenwood. This young male caught my eye when he came into the ring. His free flowing movement around the ring was so nice to see in a young male. He has a nice dark eye with a large ear. He has correct length of ribbing which ties all the parts together. I gave strong consideration in using him for Best in Sweeps and was happy to award him BEST OPPOSITE SWEEPSTAKES
2. JORASH LASTSTOP SO SLY (Ch. Corgard Forbidden Memories x Ch. Laststop Sosa Sensational) Breeders/Owners: Ellen Schusterson & Carol Dowd. This was another nice young male with a dark eye, correct outline and who has great rear drive. If I was to be picky I would like a little more reach in front.
3. MYSTICAL TORCH RUNNER AT BROGAN (Ch. Milestone Regatta x Ch. Mystical Slam Dunk) Breeder: D. Beal. Owners: Mari Carroll & Deborah Beal. This male again has nice movement from the side. His topline was off on the day. I would prefer a bigger ear.
4. HARMONY TAKE ME TO THE RIVER (Ch. Harmony Steamboat Willie x Harmony Curves Ahead) Breeder/Owner: Melody A. Kist. This young male has all the right angles and is a nice mover from the side. On this day, his ears were tipping back.

SWEEPSTAKES PUPPY 9 MONTHS AND UNDER 12 MONTHS, DOGS (3 exhibited)

1.  JORASH KAYBE ROLLING ROCK (Jorash Foxway Alternative Rock x Kaybee Dreams A Brewin) Breeders/Owners: Ellen Schusterson & Sherryn Viebrock. This male has beautiful sidegate with a very nice headpiece. He was clean coming and going. My preference would be to give him a little more length.
2.  PEMBURY HOUSE ARC DE TRIOMPHE (Ch. Aberlee Bransby x Ch. Pembury House La Priere) Breeders/Owners: Sandi Eaton & Deborah Beal & Patricia Bittles. This red and white male has nice angles but didn’t use himself that well on the day. I would like to see a larger eye and a more masculine head.
3.  WYNFOX CAPTAIN HENRY ST JAMES (Ch. Nebriowa G Clooney x Ch. Milestone Doubles Partner) Breeder/Owner: Carolann VanWyen. This young male was in a growing stage on this day. His topline was unsettled on the move, but I am sure it will settle down in the future.

SWEEPSTAKES 15 TO 18 MONTH, DOGS (2 exhibited)

1.  EVERAFTER FOXTALE’S SWEET BEGINNINGS (Ch. Aberlee Bransby x Foxtale’s Sweet Nothings) Breeders/Owners: Beverly J. Burkhart & Virginia C. Fitzgerald. This red and white male has a very attractive headpiece. He has nice angles front and rear. I would prefer a little more length.
2.  CREEKSIDE HARD WORKIN MAN (Ch. Aberlee Storm Force x Knightsbridge Picabo Street) Breeders: Michael & Michelle Scott. Owners: Kathleen S. Norcia & Michelle Scott. This red and white male was a nice sized boy who gave his handler a workout today. On this day, he was wide in front on the move.

SWEEPSTAKES PUPPY 6 MONTHS AND UNDER 9 MONTHS, BITCHES (5 exhibited)

1.  HARMONY WHISKEY RIVER (Ch. Harmony Steamboat Willie x Harmony Curves Ahead) Breeder/Owner: Melody A. Kist. This pretty puppy with a doll baby head moved very nice around the ring. She has good angles and held her topline strong at all times. She has a very promising future.
2.  LLANDIANS BLACK PEARL (Ch. Aberlee Phantom Sequence x Llandians Love On Ice) Breeder/Owner: Dianne Connolly. A beautiful black headed tri puppy that was a very nice mover however on this day her topline was not doing her justice. I would like to see a little more neck.
3.  MYSTICAL DREAM TEAM AT MILESTONE (Ch. Milestone Regatta x Ch. Mystical Slam Dunk) Breeder: D. Beal. Owner: Donna M. Gilbert. This red and white young lady was going through a serious growth spurt on this day. She has all the right parts and I am sure in the future she will mature up nicely.
4.  SPOCK DANCING WITH THE STORM (Ch. Aberlee Storm Force x Ch. Spock Little Cup Cake) Breeders: Denis Guerin & Murielle Cote Guerin. Owner: Dianne Connolly. This red and white young lady has a gorgeous headpiece with a nice dark eye however on this day her topline was off on the move.

SWEEPSTAKES PUPPY 9 MONTHS AND UNDER 12 MONTHS, BITCHES (5 exhibited)

1.  JORASH KAYBE ROCK YOUR DREAMS (Jorash Foxway Alternative Rock x Kaybe Dreams A Brewin) Breeders/Owners: Ellen Schusterson & Sherryn Viebrock. This bitch caught my eye when she entered the ring with her free flowing side gait. Once I went over her, I was not disappointed. She was clean coming and going with a nice shoulder and length of ribbing. There was nothing I would change about her and would have loved to take her home. I was very pleased to award her BEST in SWEEPSTAKES.
2.  CALISTA’S CHERRY BOMB (Ch. Caralon Calista Hail To Reason x Ch. Calista’s Lady Jane) Breeders/Owners: John & Gaye Georges. This young lady actually pushed #1 for the top placing with many of the same qualities. She has nice length of back with correct side gate. She does tend to toe out with her left front leg.
3.  JORASH KAYBE ROCK REVIVAL (Jorash Foxway Alternative Rock x Kaybe Dreams A Brewin) Breeders/Owners: Ellen Schusterson & Sherryn Viebrock. This red and white bitch has a lot of substance; she moved out on the side and was clean coming and going. To be picky, I would give her more length.
4.  CEDAR CREEK DEWDROP AT EVENSONG (Ch. Lostriver Tri’d N Tru Irish Mist x Terenelf Shweet P’Tater) Breeder: J. Gooding. Owners: Carol & George Openhym. This red and white bitch was very balanced and has nice length of back. I would like to see a darker eye, and she lost her topline on the move today.

SWEEPSTAKES 12 TO 15 MONTH, BITCHES (3 exhibited)

1.  FOXTALE’S LILT OF IRISH LAUGHTER (Ch. Corgard Making Memories At Foxtale x Foxtale’s Gaelic Storm) Breeder/Owner. Virginia C. Fitzgerald. This red and white bitch has a very pretty head with nice length of back and a good shoulder.
2.  FOXTALE IRISH ELLYON (Ch. Corgard Making Memories At Foxtale x Foxtale’s Gaelic Storm) Breeder: Virginia Fitzgerald. Owners: John P. Dugan & Dr. Joseph A. Greco & Virginia C. Fitzgerald. This pretty red and white girl has nice length of back and was the best mover in the class.
3.  FOXTALE’S IRISH EYES ARE SMILING (Ch. Corgard Making Memories At Foxtale x Foxtale’s Gaelic Storm) Breeder: V. Fitzgerald. Owners: Ellen Schusterson & Kandy Boll & V. Fitzgerald & Michele Pohl. This red and white bitch has good sidegate with nice angles all around. Unfortunately today, she was in her summer attire, but once she gets back her coat she will be very competitive.

SWEEPSTAKES 15 TO 18 MONTH, BITCHES (2 exhibited)

1.  HERONSWAY MILESTONE SPINNAKER (Ch. Milestone Regatta x Ch. Heronsway Send In The Clowns) Breeders/Owners: Donna M. Gilbert & Anne H. Bowes. This red and white bitch has a lovely head with a nice shoulder that flowed into a correct topline. She has free flowing sidegate.
2.  SANDFOX RAGS TO RICHES, HT (Ch. Sandfox Flying Finish, UD, HSAs, MX, AXJ x Sandfox Touch Gold) Breeder: V. Sandage. Owners: Carol Donnelly & Vicki Sandage. This bitch has nice length of back and was clean coming and going. For my preference, I would like to see a darker eye.
