A very special thanks to the Garden State Club for inviting me to judge the Match Show. A wonderfully run show thanks to the efforts of Laura Heckler, Match Chair. My classes ran very smoothly thanks to my terrific Ring Steward, Karen Hines. I wanted to also express my gratitude to all the exhibitors who presented their puppies in beautiful fashion and accepted their placings so graciously. I was overcome with the entries of so many dedicated breeders who took the time to bring out their puppies and show to me on a very hot day. In some of the classes toplines were questionable, but that’s the puppy stage. Feet were not always correct in shape. Movement was impressive for such youngsters. In the end, my Best Puppy was thrilling to watch as he carried himself flawlessly in such heat. He never put a foot wrong and showed his heart out. Best of Opposite Puppy was a wonderful mover and on the road to developing into a lovely bitch. I fell in love with my Best Adult from the moment she entered the ring. Also a good showman for today her lovely movement and great profile just said “give it to me”!

PUPPY 3-6 MONTHS, DOGS (3 exhibited)

1. Lost River Tri’d N Tru Irish Stout (Ch. Putnam Forever Splendor x Ch. Lost River’s Hot Ticket) Breeder: Shawn Michael & Kathleen Hash. Owner: Kathleen Hash & Shawn Michael. A very pleasing body type with a very level topline which held on the move. Moved with little effort around the ring. Would have liked a better eye.

2. Honeyfox Sir Simon (Ch. Honeyfox Tiz Now x Honey Fox Silk N Stockings) Breeder: Susan Strickland. Owner: Catherine Pierre. A lovely length of back and lower to the ground than number one. He is a longer puppy. Movement today was a little choppy which could be due to his growth and length.

3. Brunswigs Koushla (Fairysteeds Paparazzi x Brunswigs Isn’t She der Loverly) Breeder: Phyllis Farrer. Owner: Susan Dunne. A lovely red/white dog with a wonderful head. He appeared in a growing stage and today presented with a wide front.

PUPPY 6-9 MONTHS, DOGS (7 exhibited)

1.Brogan Rubicon (Ch. Caamora Gandy Dancer x Ch. Brogan Bells Chime) Breeder/Owner: Mari Fleming Carroll. I loved this promising tri puppy dog. He had a long and low outline, nice bone with lovely head and dark eye. He moved well in all directions and was presented in lovely condition. I was pleased to award him Best Puppy and wish his owner much luck in the future. BEST PUPPY

2. Corgard Thanks for the Memories (Delarno a Shining Legacy x Ch. Corgard Memories of Foxway) Breeders/Owners: Kandy Boll & Michele Pohl. A nice moving puppy with a very pleasing head. Good bend of stifle. I preferred the length of the winner.

3. Silvermine Saddlelane Stars & Stripes (Twinan Another Chance for Salvenik x Llandian Good Golly Ms. Molly) Breeders: Laura & John Ward, Andy Carter, Dianne Connolly. Owners: Laura & John Ward, Andy Carter. He has overall type and quality with a pleasing outline. His correct structure should allow for easy movement but seemed to give his handler a hard time in the heat.

4.Fairie Glen Reply (Ch. Dwynella Take A Chance x Ch. Fairie Glen Dina O’ShanTeroo) Breeders: Linda Munoz & Joyce Gotschall. Owner: Susan Strickland. Nice neck into a good length of back. Adequate mover.

1.Honeyfox Triple Threat (Ch. Honeyfox Secret Love x Briarfox Christmas Eve HT) Breeder/Owner: Susan Strickland. A tri dog with a nice neck into a level topline with moderate length of back. A little higher in leg for me but I appreciated his lovely movement which was consistent in all directions.
