I wish to thank the Garden State Club for inviting me to judge their match. The site was lovely and the buffet lunch was wonderful. Your gift certificate was much appreciated and will be put to good use.

Special thanks to Richard Burd for acting as my ring steward.

I enjoyed the assignment, it was unfortunate being on the heels of the national that the entry was small.

Again, thank you for your hospitality.

PUPPY 3-6 MONTHS, DOGS (1 exhibited)

1. SHEEP CLOUD FARM NED Owner: Jamie Cvecich. Red and white with pleasing head and expression. A bit high in the leg and a bit wide in front at this stage of development.

PUPPY 9-12 MONTHS, DOGS (1 exhibited)

1. TENBAY’S CORNICHE (Ch. Hallmark’s Olympian x Aubrey Oakwind Abbey Road) Breeders: Roberta Lord and Cynthia & Vincent Savioli. Owner: Roberta Lord. Red and white with pleasing head and expression. Beautiful neck blending into level topline. He had a balanced outline, good bone and feet. He moved well from the side, wonderful reach and drive. A very promising puppy that I was pleased to Award Best Puppy in Match. I wish his owner continued success with him. BEST PUPPY.

15-18 MONTHS, DOGS (1 exhibited)

1. FAIRYSTEED’S PAPARAZZI (Ch. Cinonnie Rigel x Fairysteed’s Blazin’ A Trail) Breeder: Karen Gunzel. Owners: Marilyn Zukowski and K. Gunzel. Red and white with masculine head with good proportions and pleasing expression. Excellent bone and nice feet. Balanced outline but would prefer more length. Heavy coat and “butt pad” sometimes threw off his topline. In the final lineup his side gait and type carried him through to BEST ADULT.

NOVICE DOG (1 exhibited)

1. SBH SARAH BETH’S BARLEY BOY (SBH Mac Cinder x SBH Princess Penny Wise) Breeder: Liesel Treacy. Owner: James Fleming. Sable with love rich color. On the day I have a feeling he would have liked to be elsewhere. Not the head proportions of the top winners. Held topline on the move. Adequate side gait but not as good coming as some of the others.

PUPPY 6-9 MONTHS, BITCHES (2 exhibited)

1. PUTNAM TRES CHIC OF AUBREY (Ch. Aubrey Oakwind Armful of Fun x Ch. Putnam Dazzling Splendor) Breeder: Jane P. McCormick. Owners: Cynthia & Vincent Savioli. Red and white with balanced outline, good substance and bone. Mowing well from the side, a bit wide coming at you at this stage of development. Nice head with good proportions. Level topline that held on the move. Would like more neck to complete the picture and she was a tad overweight on the day. Nonetheless I was happy to award her BEST OF OPPOSITE PUPPY.
2. JIMANIE’S GOLDEN TOUCH (Jimanie’s Sweet Talker x Ch. Sua Mah Always in Cahoots) Breeders: Stephanie Hedgepath and Linda Galphin. Owner: Peg Forte. Red and white puppy whose head was not as pleasing as the puppy above. Movement was adequate from the side but was a bit coming at you on the day. Balanced outline but she fell off at the croup.

PUPPY 9-12 MONTHS, BITCHES (1 exhibited)

1. HARMONY BITTERSWEET SYMPHONY (Ch. Salvenik Sweet Thoughts x Brogan Bonny Belle at Harmony) Breeder: Melody Kist. Owners: Rosemarie & Luke Jurain. Red headed tri with lovely type. Well presented and handled she never let down on her showmanship. Good topline that she held on the move. She was wide in front, did not have the curvature around the sternum I like to see. In the final lineup, she did not have the reach and drive of the top winners.

15-18 MONTHS, BITCHES (1 exhibited)

1. SPRING WAITES ABBY MAGIC (Cinonnie Sirius x Daphne Honeyfox) Breeder: Juanita Hummel. Owner: James Fleming. Red and white with pleasing head. She was in her “skivvies” on the day which did not help the illusion that she lacked substance. She was moving well from the side. She had her mind elsewhere today, more ring experience should take care of that. BEST OPPOSITE TO BEST ADULT.
