I want to thank all those people who came to the Garden State Match in spite of the rain and cold. I’m sure this site is lovely on a nice fall day. Thanks to my steward for all the extra steps she had to take to keep ribbons and paperwork out of the rain. Most of the babies would not move on the long wet grass and I could not blame them. Most of the puppies were too large for age and coarse all over. Saw very few correct heads and proper balance. I think it is time we selected for a proper size puppy before every dog in the ring is oversize. Having shown what I thought was a big dog only to realize he was small in comparison to others, I worry that corgis are getting too large.

2-4 Months Dogs

1. Tenbay’s All My Loving Owner: Bobbe Lord. Pretty black headed tri-color, correct head with very dark eyes, low to the ground with heavy bone carried right to his feet. A promising baby.

2. Brogan Bell Bottoms Owner: Mari Fleming Carroll. R& W higher on leg with a longer hock than the 1st puppy. Pretty head with a nice dark eye. Appeared short in neck at this age.

4-6 Months Dogs

1. Corrida’s Forever Outlandish (Am/Can CH Aubrey Brookhaven Outlandish x Corrida’s Forever Amber) Owner: Richard Burd. Pretty headed puppy correct in size for his age. He was a bit light in bone. Did not drive off his hind quarters.

2. Sirrah’s Red Cloud of Otrek (Ch. Shavals Fire Master, ROMX x Otreks Sirrah Dream Catcher). Owner: Loretta Riccio. Small, too small maybe. Light in bone at this age. Very pretty head.

3. Buddy (CH Wayman’s Apache War Warrior, HC x Ercildown’s Rising Star) Owner: Dolly Jordan. Larger puppy with light bone and too coarse in head.

4. Ercildown’s Gusto Owner: Dinah Flack. Another puppy too coarse in head. Over done all over. Very narrow lower jaw.

9-12 Months Dog

1. Milestone Honeymooner. Owner: Donna Gilbert. Large rangy tricolor, too big for me however he is balanced for size and carries a good topline.

Open Dog

1. Forest (CH Llandian’s Sweet Success x Tallyrand Amazing Love) Owner: Marion Rapp. Large R&W, not the head type I look for. Moved very close behind and could use more bone for his size.

2-4 Months Bitches

1. Brogan Bonny Belle At Harmony (Pemintenn Daydream Believer x Brogan’s Belle Of The Ball) Owner: Melody Kist. Pretty head with a nice eye. Well let down hocks and when she moved she carried herself well.

2. Brogan Bells Chimes Owner: Mari Fleming Carroll. Sister to the #1 puppy, larger well proportioned puppy. Another with a pretty head and eye. She is higher on leg but presented a pretty outline.

3. Aubrey’s Zinnia (CH Tallyrand No Greater Love x CH Aubreys In The Vogue) Owner: Bobbe Lord. Prettiest head and eye in this class. She had the shortest hocks and good bone right down to her feet. Faulted her wide set shoulders.

4-6 Months Bitches

1. Heronsway Heart’s Desire (CH Heronsway How Sweet It Is x Ch Heronsway Heartbeat) Owner: Anne Bowes. Beautiful head and eye, good attitude, lovely short hocks and good bone. Made the most of herself on a very wet day. Loved this one’s dam and grand-dam and this could be the best. BEST PUPPY/BEST IN MATCH

2. Heronsway Take Heart (CH Heronsway How Sweet It Is x Ch Heronsway Heartbeat) Owner: Anne Bowes. Sable & White sister to #1. Smaller version of the first, pretty head and eye, good bone, good outline. Another one making the most of herself of a very wet day. Not the glamour of her sister.

3. Dottie Owner: Deborah Wheeler. A very pretty R & W puppy, larger frame than those above hope she doesn’t get too big. Good back and bone but she doesn’t want to be here today.

4. Holly Owner: Deborah Wheeler. Red, Sable and White puppy, smaller type, proper triangular head, she had good bone for her size. Another one that could have tried harder.

6-9 Month Bitches

1. Harmony Castle Creek (CH Ariel’s Cullum Kill, CDX,HC x CH Pinemeade Moment By Moment, HC) Owner: Melody Kist. Pretty head on this black headed tricolor. She is very upright at this stage.

2. Sara Owner: Rose Jurain. Good bone, short hocks, good topline and moved with purpose. The picture was spoiled by a long narrow head.

Open Bitch

1. Foxtale’s Babbling Brook Owner: Shawn Michael. Heavy, coarse bitch whose weight did not help her. Proper shape to her head, just too much bitch for me. BEST ADULT

JUNIOR SHOWMANSHIP

Novice Junior: Amanda. BEST JUNIOR HANDLER
