A BIG THANK YOU to the Pembroke Welsh Corgi Club of the Garden State for the invitation to judge their second independent specialty. Especially appreciated was the ongoing communication in the weeks prior to the show from show chairperson, Lois Zelenski. There are occasions before an assignment when the silence makes a judge wonder if they have been forgotten!

I enjoyed having Karen Gunzel as my ring steward. She was ever so helpful, organized and efficient, all of which made the day go smoothly.

My gift from the club, a silver corgi pin crafted by Barbara Gurwell, is a lovely souvenir of the day and will always be worn with pride.

To the exhibitors a thank you for their entries and the courteous conduct they displayed. Our corgis certainly can be proud of the fanciers who show and enjoy them.

Throughout the day I did hear grumbling about the plush grass in the ring. The club was not happy that the grounds had not been tended to as requested but it is my contention that a herding dog should be able to work in grass – unless of course, it’s camels they are herding. And, a judge CAN see how a dog is moving, the planes of motion, where the foot is falling,etc. As for assessing balance, yes, a higher on leg dog does appear more acceptable in deeper grass and a low stationed dog too low, but once on the table the illusions quickly disappear.

I would also like to suggest that dogs accustomed to routine exercise in heavier grass handle it better than those exercised mainly on smooth surfaces. Think of how you would handle two flights of stairs if for many months you had never climbed a stair. Conditioned to climbing stairs, your bone structure remains the same but your muscle development is different – a difference you are sure to feel. So, if you are going to be showing outdoors, prepare for what you may encounter.

I’ve been fascinated by how the eye’s perception of a dog is affected by comparisons. A puppy who appears well-developed and mature in the puppy class can give quite a different impression in the winners lineup. An exhibit that is a standout in a mediocre class can himself become mediocre in a superior lineup. I found on this day that the impression of outline and balance when judging in under the tenting, where I was looking slightly downward as a class or group of dogs moved around the ring, changed when the same animals were moved at a greater distance from me outside the tenting.

I can’t help but think a useful adjunct to specialty critiques would be the availability of photos taken from ringside of each class lineup. Obviously several photos would be needed to include all the entries in a large class but if dogs are in catalog order with absentees noted, the photos would give an indication of type, outline, size etc. of each dog relative to others in the class. This would give exhibitors a chance to get some idea of the impression their dog makes in comparison with others in the class.

We are commonly told dog shows are held to provide the opportunity to compare breeding stock. I prefer to think we actually exhibit and compare the “results” of our breeding program. Often our best breeding stock stays home as they may not be our best show dogs. On this day there were several very nice, well-constructed entries who were simply too large for me to use as representing our standard, yet I would use them for breeding in a proverbial “New York minute”. When judging such animals I find myself wishing I were using a microphone so such an assessment could be expressed.

To my mind, a pembroke that does not have reasonable correctness of head (proportions, planes, chiselling, expression, ear shape, size and placement) lacks type. That is not to say the dog may not be useful for other extraordinary features, nor does it mean a dog needs only a classic headpiece to be considered. If the current emphasis remains on selecting long, low, level-backed dogs with great side movement without consideration of head type or movement coming and going, we will lose valued essentials of breed type. We could one day see pembrokes with a dachshund-like outline if we choose to ignore the admonition in our breed standard that the pembroke should be moderately long and low. These considerations affected a number of my decisions.

1. FOXWAY JORASH PENDING SCANDAL (Foxway Legacy Pending x Foxway Victoria’s Secret). Breeder/Owner: Ellen Schusterson & Sandra Mottes. Glamorous redheaded tri with pleasing head and expression. Nice over-all balance with a nice ample bone throughout. Tended to be overly wide behind both standing and moving but still had impressive side movement. Hope he grows on.

2. FESTINIOG ARBOR BEACHCOMBER (Ch. Arbor Festiniog Rickover, CDX x Ch. Festiniog Arbor Sea Shanty). Breeder/Owner: Margaret G. Thomas & Kathleen A. Broska. A striking youngster with pleasing head type and lovely expression which is often so hard to appreciate in a black-headed tri. Excellent bone and substance with well made forequarters. Needs more length of rib cage and less length of loin for adequate support.

3. CORGARD’S TRAVELIN MAN (Ch. Foxway Legacy Traveler x Corgard Cocktail’s-N-Starlite). Breeder: Kandy Boll & Sandra Mottes & Michelle Pohl. Owner: Sherryn Viebrock & Kandy Boll & Michele Pohl. Attractive light red & white with nice over-all balance, outline and substance. Nice length of body. Ample bone for size. Plainer in expression than the above and not as cleanly made in front.

4. FOXTALE’s HOT TO TROT (Ch. Foxway Corg’rd Crystal Legacy x Foxtale’s A Star Is Born). Breeder/Owner: Virginia C. Fitzgerald. Another well presented red & white with pleasing outline and substantial bone. Moved out well with nice strong hindquarters. Blunter in head type than I would prefer. Not as cleanly made in front as the class winner.

1. ARBOR XIII MAPLE SCUTTLEBUTT (Ch. Belroyd Seabird x Ch. Arbor Festiniog Idle Gossip). Breeder: K. Broska. Owner: Mary Moriarty & Kathleen A. Broska. Liked the outline, balance and appropriate size of this quality red & white. Head nicely masculine without being coarse. Good length of rib cage along with good spring of rib. Lacking in upper arm but still reasonably true front movement. His impressive side movement and level back on the move gave him the class.

2. LLANDIAN’S SIMPLY SWEET (Ch. Salvenik’s Sweet Thoughts x Llandians Simply Elegant). Breeder: D. Connolly. Owner: Karen Hines & Dianne Connolly. Really thought this quality red & white had the class with his lovely type, size, balance and excellent bone. While not the ideal ear set, his head pleased immensely for its proportions and clean lines. Unfortunately, his topline on the move let him down today.

3. ARBOR SEA AND TELL (Ch. Belroyd Seabird x Ch. Arbor Festiniog Idle Gossip). Breeder: Kathleen Broska. Owner: Sandi Eaton. Pleasing tri of a smaller mold than his litter brother, the class winner. Free, easy mover but not as strong going away as the two above. Could wish for him to be a little more masculine in head and to carry a shade more bone.

4. FOXTALE’S HIGH ROLLER (Ch. Honeyfox Starstruck x Ch. Champagne N Caviar). Breeder/Owner: Virginia C. Fitzgerald. Well presented red & white. Excelled in outline, bone and firm back. Had all the essentials but there was just too much of him for my liking. Not as free moving in front as those above.

Therefore, Culdi’s Delusions of Grandeur is the official Winner’s Dog of the 1998 PWCCGS Specialty. Furthermore, the #3 dog will be moved up to #2; and the #4 dog will be moved up to #3. There will be no RWD.

1. CULDI’S DELUSIONS OF GRANDEUR, NA , HS (Ch. Aubrey’s Heart of The Matter x Ch. Tam’s Tres Doux, HS). Breeder/Owner: Stephanie Snide. A glamorous sable and white who gave the impression of being an active, agile dog who could do whatever is asked of him. Lovely headed dog with clean lines, correct proportions and without any trace of fill under the eye which was all too prevalent in the over-all entry. Notable, too, was his correct ear size, shape and placement. Liked his outline despite the tail length which though acceptable didn’t give the finish we are accustomed to seeing. Well made forequarters and neat feet. Covered the ground with ease. A darker eye, slightly more bone and shorter hock could have given him the class. WINNERS DOG.

2. WINDHAMLAIR GREAT SCOTT (Ch. Sandyshire’s Prophesea x Windhamlair Lovesome Dove). Breeder/Owner: Pamela A. Mills. Heavier set light red & white. Moved well around the ring presenting a good outline with nice length of body. Strong, level back. Front let him down and head not as pleasing as the two above.

3. AUBREY’S MY COUSIN VINNY (Ch. Aubrey Brookehaven Outlandish x Ch. Pinemeade Watercolors). Breeder/Owner: Cynthia & Vincent Savioli. A well presented plainer type of dog who displayed a correct outline with neck blending nicely into good shoulders. Another one with good body proportions, excellent topline and pleasing side gait.

1. CARTOON INDIAN CHIEF (Ch. Alcyndon Shoot For The Moon x Wytzend Alcyndon Blind Date). Breeder/Owner: Donna C. Ruth & Uta M. Ropke. A long, low red & white who won the class on general type. Nice bone and substance. Excellent length of neck and body. Overly angulated behind for my liking and lost topline on the move.

2. ARBOR FESTINIOG SEA EPIC (Ch. Belroyd Seabird x Ch. Arbor Festiniog Idle Gossip). Breeder: Kathleen Broska. Owner: Kathleen A. Broska & Margaret G. Thomas. Red & white with long, low outline. Nice skull and expression but ears and muzzle didn’t please. Lovely neck and shoulder placement but short upper arm and weak pasterns spoiled front movement. Topline held on the move. Strong mover going away.

1. FOXWAY CORGARD IMAGE MAKER (Ch. Foxway Legacy Continues x Ch. Corgard Foxway Crystal Image). Breeder/Owner: Michele L. Pohl & Sandra Mottes & Kandy Boll. Attractive red & white baby of a nice size for her age. Pleasing head, body length and substance. Crossing over fore and aft but had good ground covering side movement.

2. WINDHAMLAIR SEALINE DIJON (Ch. Sandyshire’s Prophesea x Windhamlair Lonesome Dove). Breeder/Owner: Pamela A. Mills. Liked the scope of this red & white. Excellent length of neck flowing into well developed body. Strong hindquarters and good side movement. Not as pleasing in head as the winner.

3. MAPLELEAF’S PORSCHE (Ch. Sandyshire’s Prophesea x Mapleleaf’s Miss Daisey). Breeder/Owner: Richard & Chari Magnan. Another sweet red & white baby of lovely type. Loved this one’s pretty head type and attractive expression. Hope when she outgrows her pudgey puppy stage (and plush puppy coat) she will show better length of neck and over-all scope. Moved on a par with the two above.

1. FOXWAY JORASH BROGAN CHAOS (Ch. Foxway Legacy Traveler x Perrymist Black Pearl). Breeder: Sandra Mottes & Ellen Schusterson. Owner: Mari Fleming Carroll & Sandra Mottes & Ellen Schusterson. A lovely quality red and white who captured my attention with her style and type. A classic headpiece with pleasing eye and expression. Good reach of neck. Nice length of body with correctly made front and strong rear. For me, just right in size and bone with enough leg to balance. Really knows how to show herself off. She was so intensely “pembroke” I could not deny her and was pleased to make her WINNERS BITCH, BEST OF WINNERS, AWARD OF MERIT and BEST PUPPY.

2. NEBRIOWA CHINA DOVE (Ch. Nebriowa Front and Center x Ch. Belroyd Dovekie). Breeder/Owner: Thomas Mathiesen. Another pretty puppy of excellent type. Nicely presented in lovely condition. Pleasing head and expression. True coming and going. Moved out freely. Close up to #1 but preferred the length of the winner.

3. HERONSWAY AFFAIR TO REMEMBER (Ch. Perrymist Red Affair x Ch. Heronsway Olympia Maisey Bow). Breeder/Owner: Mrs. Anne H. Bowes. A pale red and white of excellent over-all quality. Not a large bitch. Very feminine and nicely proportioned throughout with ample bone for her size. Not quite as pleasing in head as the two above and she wasn’t moving as freely in front.

4. KESTREL CALIFORNIA DREAMIN (Ch. Pennington Ramblin Lad x Ch. Leftbank Kestrel Lucid Dream). Breeder/Owner: Ann Caterson. This smart, eye-catching tri was yet another impeccably turned out quality puppy in this class and unfortunate to meet the above. Excels in outline, balance, level topline, substance and bone. Nice easy side movement with good flexion and drive. I would prefer a typier head and less prominent eye.

Quality light red and white of a nice size and substance. So pleasing in head and expression. Had all the essentials in a nicely balanced package. Excellent hindquarters with good strong movement going away.RESERVE WINNER’S BITCH

2. FOXTALE’S TRISTAR PRODUCTION (Ch. Foxtale’s Jameson At Appelbo x Ch. Putnam-Foxtale Seeing Stars). Breeder/Owner: Virginia C. Fitzgerald. A half-sister to the class winner, this attractive redheaded tri was quite similar in over-all quality. Not quite the superb head of the winner. Moved soundly in front and with good side action. Tended to be a little soft in front standing.

3. LEFTBANK CATCH A FALLING STAR (Ch. Left Bank Dream Catcher x Ch. Left Bank Dances With Wolves, PT). Breeder/Owner: Lynne Bloor Wolfe. Typey red and white with good outline and nice substance and bone. Well constructed and sound mover. Quality head with good proportions. Would prefer a darker eye.

4. AUBREY’S IN THE VOGUE (Ch. Aubrey Brookehaven Outlandish x Ch. Pinemeade Watercolors). Breeder: Cynthia & Vincent Savioli. Owner: Roberta M. Lord & Cynthia & Vincent Savioli. A plainer type of bitch, this one also possessed a pleasing head with attractive over-all outline. Nice length of body with firm, level topline. Soundly made with free moving side gait. Would have liked more bone.

Not at all a flashy bitch but honest in type with desired scope and substance. Ample bone. Head appealed for proportions and chiselling. Good angulation behind with strong movement going away. Could stand a bit slack in front.

2. POMPION-APPELBO TANGWHYSTL (Ch. Foxtale’s Jameson At Appelbo x Ch. Foxtale’s Star of Pompion). Breeder: Ferebe B. Simons. Owner: J. S. Rush & M. A. Gilpatrick. Pretty redheaded tri of a smaller size than winner. Attractive head of correct proportions but with slight fill under the eye making for a harder expression. Lovely outline. Well let down hocks. Topline held well on the move. Best front movement in the class.

3. CRYSMONT REACH FOR A STAR (Crysmont Merriwood Travis x Crysmont California Style). Breeder: D. Blais & K. & K. VanDerwarker). Owner: Deborah Blais & Sybil Smith. Another very appealing redheaded tri. Totally feminine with good outline, firm back and purposeful side movement. Not quite as pleasing in head type as the above nor as clean in shoulder.

4. SUNLINE PLAIN JANE (Ch. Sunline Grizzly King x Sunline Gosling). Breeder/Owner: Ann & Warren Phillips. A well up to size red and white bitch. Attractive, clean, feminine head. Good substance and bone. Nicely made forequarters. Topline didn’t hold as well on the move as with those above.

What a gorgeous headpiece this light red and white gal possesses. Of a nice over-all size, she presented a lovely picture with good length of body, excellent substance, bone and glamorous coat. Once in the stiff competition of the winners bitch class, her front assembly, which seemingly allowed her neck to settle in between her shoulder blades on the move, cost her a higher win.

2. CURIG ONYX OBSESSION (Ch. Left Bank Curig Moments Notice x Ch. Curig Rivergreen Jade). Breeder: Barbara DuPree & Susan Neave & J. Bernice Beilby. Owner: Mary Frances Marrow. Another attractive, feminine bitch of a nice size. Liked her general type and pleasing outline. Erratic movement coming and going cost her the class.

3. ARBOR FESTINIOG RACY SCANDAL (Ch. Belroyd Seabird x Ch. Arbor Festiniog Idle Gossip). Breeder: Kathleen Broska. Owner Kathleen A. Broska & Margaret G. Thomas. Pleasing red & white bitch. Beautifully presented red and white with feminine head. Would prefer a softer expression. Lovely length of neck and good, clean shoulders blending nicely into a strong level back. Good hindquarters with hocks well let down. Easy side movement but toes in coming on.

4. SUNLINE ZUG BUG II (Ch. Sunline Royal Wulff x Ch. Sunline Lady Atherton). Breeder: W. & A. Phillips. Owner: Alice & Lewis Nelson & Warren & Ann Phillips. Very sweet type of bitch with pleasing head and expression. Nice neck and topline. Good length of body. Adequate mover. Could use more bone. Lovely feet.

1. CH. SADDLE LANE’S CHUKKAR (Ch. Courtllyn Chagal x Revelmere Trailing Rose). Breeder: A. Carter & D. Ryan. Owner: Patricia Withers. A rather small, plain red and white dog full of quality. Excellent balance and substance and bone. Pleasing in head and outline. This dog can really truck and could put many a younger dog to shame with his correct, effortless movement.

A red & white bitch I have long admired for her outstanding type. She and the veteran dog were two of the best movers of the day. Pushed the eventual best of breed winner for the top spot.

CH. HERONSWAY HEARTBEAT (Ch. Nebriowa Jovan x Ch. Heronsway Peggy Sue). Breeder/Owner: Mrs. Anne H. Bowes. This sweet red & white bitch instantly reminded me of one of my favorites of the past, an English import Ch. So Tidy of Shiel, owned by the late Harriet Long. Just as that bitch reflected her name, this little lady is, herself, ever so tidy in appearance. Each part of her is in keeping with the over-all picture from her pleasing, typey head and expression down to her neat feet. Though not given to flashy side movement, she goes about her job in a sound, workman-like way. It was a pleasure to award her BEST OF BREED.BEST OF OPPOSITE SEX

CH. HALLMARKS OLYMPIAN (Ch. Aubrey Brookhaven Outlandish x Hallmarks Snickers). Breeder: Midge Ruscak & Valerie Brown. Owner: Cynthia & Vincent Savioli & Midge Ruscak. A totally glamorous redheaded tri presented in pristine condition. Sports a stunning, correctly shaped head with pleasing expression. Plenty of substance and bone. Adequate length for height. Strong level back. Well angulated hindquarters. Sound easy mover. Gave his handler a bit of a hard time of it (I think he was in love) and exaggerated a tendency to be soft in front when standing. I considered him to be easily the best male of the day and had he kept his mind on business would have given the Best of Breed winner a real run for her money.

I would like to express my deep gratitude to the Garden State Club for the invitation to judge your Sweepstakes. At the same time my sincere thanks to all of the exhibitors who entered and showed your dogs to me. The entry was very deep in quality and you should all be very pleased with your dogs. It always sound trite, but in many classes I truly wished I could have awarded more than four placements; as many were deserving. In many instances, I found myself splitting hairs for the final decision.

On the whole, I was pleased with the entry. The biggest problem I found was still in the area of feet. Quite a few of the entry could have a tighter, more correct foot. For the most part I was pleased with movement and came down to using movement as the “tie-breaker” in most instances. Excellent type and pretty, correct heads pervaded your show.

If I could make a suggestion for the future, please make certain that someone cuts the grass the day before the show. This grass truly was a barrier to judging the dogs. Those who looked wonderful on the table were nearly lost in it.

Excellent mover from all angles-totally effortless. I was pleased to award him <BEST IN SWEEPSTAKES
  2. FOXTALE’S HOT TO TROT (Ch. Foxway Corg’rd Crystal Legacy x Foxtale’s A Star Is Born). Breeder/Owner: Virginia C. Fitzgerald. Red/White. Another with a very pleasant masculine head. Quite similar in type and proportions to #1. Clean mover in all directions. Another very nice sound puppy.
  3. FESTINIOG ARBOR BEACHCOMBER (Ch. Arbor Festiniog Rickover,CDX x Ch. Festiniog Arbor Sea Shanty). Breeder/Owner: Margaret G. Thomas & Kathleen A. Broska.Black Headed Tri-Color. Lovely in profile. Excellent proportions. Good length of back. Nice shoulder lay back and rear angulation. Moved well. Preferred expression of those above.
  4. CORGARD’S TRAVELIN MAN (Ch. Foxway Legacy Traveler x Corgard Cocktail’s-N-Starlite). Breeder: Kandy Boll & Sandra Mottes & Michelle Pohl. Owner: Sherryn Viebrock & Kandy Boll & Michele Pohl. Red/White. Very nice male of similar type to #1. Didn’t use his assets very well today-simply didn’t want to move in the tall grass.

  1. ARBOR SEA AND TELL (Ch. Belroyd Seabird x Ch. Arbor Festiniog Idle Gossip). Breeder: Kathleen Broska. Owner: Sandi Eaton. Red Headed Tri-Color. Correct and very attractive headpiece. Excellent length of body, holds topline on the move. Well angulated at both ends. In excellent coat and condition. Showed very well and moved very well in this class. Pressed very hard for best in sweeps but didn’t want to move as well as the winner in the final assessment. A very nice dog.
  2. ARBOR XIII MAPLE SCUTTLEBUTT (Ch. Belroyd Seabird x Ch. Arbor Festiniog Idle Gossip). Breeder: K. Broska. Owner: Mary Moriarty & Kathleen A. Broska. Red/White. Another very nice dog. Litter mate to #1 and very similar in type. Very correct in length, proportions. Good head type and expression. Outmoved ever so slightly by his brother on this day.
  3. SUNLINE WELSHMANS BUTTON (Bojojamile Bit of Blarney x Ramshill Golly Miss Lolly). Breeder: Ramshill Kennel. Owner: Ann & Warren Phillips.. Red/White. More compact than the first two but still a nice type. Moved cleanly, though not as dynamic as the first two. Wasn’t very impressed with the show this a.m. as he didn’t want to show me his ears at all.
  4. FOXTALE’S HIGH ROLLER (Ch. Honeyfox Starstruck x Ch. Champagne N Caviar). Breeder/Owner: Virginia C. Fitzgerald. Red/White. Very masculine, but attractive headpiece. Lovely expression-although he also seemed “unimpressed.” Well up on size. Well structured and moved cleanly but didn’t want to use himself very well today.

Red/White with a pretty head and expression. Appeared a little high in the rear when standing although this seemed to be due to coat. Moved very well. Very prolific coat. Shorter coupled than I prefer but has time for the length to come.
  2. WINDHAMLAIR SEALINE DIJON (Ch. Sandyshire’s Prophesea x Windhamlair Lonesome Dove). Breeder/Owner: Pamela A. Mills. Red/White. Better length of back than #1. Very nice in profile. Good topline which she held on the move. Correct headpiece. Lovely neck. Preferred the movement, particularly coming and going, of #1.
  3. MAPLELEAF’S PORSCHE (Ch. Sandshire’s Prophesea x Mapleleaf’s Miss Daisey). Breeder/Owner: Richard & Chari Magnan.Red/White. Very cute little girl, a little on the small side. Lovely head and expression. A very heavy coat, combined with her shorter coupling made her appear overweight.

Good proportions, length of back, length to height ratio. Excellent angulation at both ends. Nice neck arcing into level back. Lovely headpiece with very dark eye and sweet expression. Wonderful coat, in excellent condition. Freedom and cleanness of movement led her on to BEST OF OPPOSITE SEX IN SWEEPSTAKES (BIS turned out to be her litter mate!)
  2. FOXWAY JORASH BROGAN CHAOS (Ch. Legacy Traveler x Perrymist Black Pearl). Breeder: Sandra Mottes & Ellen Schusterson. Owner: Mari Fleming Carroll & Sandra Mottes & Ellen Schusterson. Red/White. Excellent breed type with a lovely head and very pretty expression. Nice large ear and short muzzle. Good neck, topline, length and side gait. Moved well in all directions but to be very picky, was doing something peculiar in the front from time-to-time. Quite the show girl.
  3. NEBRIOWA CHINA DOVE (Ch. Nebriowa Front and Center x Ch. Belroyd Dovekie). Breeder/Owner: Thomas Mathiesen. Red/White. A very nice outline and the head type I love (now that I see the breeding, I know why!). Correct head type and proportions-a nice big ear and short muzzle. Lovely eye and expression. Tremendous neck arcing into a level back. Nice length. A touch higher on leg and a little lighter on bone than the first two. Moved well.
  4. HERONSWAY AFFAIR TO REMEMBER (Ch. Perrymist Red Affair x Ch. Heronsway Olympia Maisey Bow). Breeder/Owner: Mrs. Anne H. Bowes. Red/White. Excellent breed type. Lovely in profile. Good length to height, neck and topline. Attractive headpiece w/monkscap. Unfortunately, no matter how much we moved her, she refused to put up with the terribly long grass! Gave her owner quite a run for her money!

Excellent length of neck and back. Nice length to height ratio. Beautiful coat. Excellent bone. Lovely dark eye and pleasing expression. Clean coming and going…Excellent side movement with good extension and rear drive. Movement combined with type won her this class. Pressed hard for one of the top spots.
  2. ARBOR FESTINIOG RACY SCANDAL (Ch. Belroyd Seabird x Ch. Arbor Festiniog Idle Gossip). Breeder: Kathleen Broska. Owner: Kathleen A. Broska & Margaret G. Thomas. Red/White. Another very nice quality bitch of excellent type. Beautiful in profile, correct headpiece, lovely neck and topline. Well-angulated and very clean coming and going. Wouldn’t move out in the tall grass.
  3. FOXTALE’S MOONSTRUCK (Ch. Foxtale’s Jameson At Appelbo x Foxtale’s Stargazer). Breeder: Virginia Fitzgerald. Owner: Michaele A. Gilpatrick. Red/White with a full white collar. A very pretty and pleasing headpiece. Lovely expression. Nice length of back and length to height ratio. Movement not quite as free as the first two.
  4. ALCYNDON JUNIATA (Ch. Sunline Royal Wulff x Alcyndon The Red Rose). Breeder/Owner: Uta M. Ropke & Donna C. Ruth.Red/White. Another nice puppy who moved well. A little shorter coupled than those above. Correct head. Nice expression. Would have preferred a little larger eye with darker pigment.
